The Crystal River Academy is what many consider the reason The Collapse didn't hit Rothary as hard as other places in the world.

Some say those with clairvoyant abilities saw it coming, and were subsequently able to warn the appropriate individuals so more defenses could be set up behind the scenes.

Others theorize that when the apocalyptic events began the presence of so many able to use magic was simply a happy coincidence. That they were able to mobilize quickly to defend the nation, and their sheer numbers were the reason behind everything.

What isn't up for contest, however, is that since the Collapse both the school and Rothary as a nation have grown more powerful. Perhaps looking to take over everywhere else with so much weakened and destroyed...
