Kamaria being relatively well known as the clerical capitol of Rothary (and some say the world), of course they also talk a lot about history. Understanding historical events in the world is paramount to understanding the deities, as to many of the religious inside of Kamaria the hands of the gods are in everything.

So Zana grew up studying not just religion but history as well. And having religion shoved down her throat every minute of every day she eventually learned to ignore it and instead see things as mundane instead of always being influenced by divine hands.

This was what led her to The Crystal River Academy to continue her studies, and in turn what made them hire her on as the history teacher. Teaching theology and history side by side was one thing, but the Academy needed someone who would separate the two in order to teach the accuracy of historical events. Zana's been teaching for several decades now, having lived through a few events herself and having the elven lineage to keep teaching for hundreds more years if the Academy will keep her on.
