Born to the island of Lost Bell, many associated the golden scales on Ralei's body as being the influence of some kind of elemental. As she grew older, however, it became apparent that they were instead a sort of draconic ancestry related to a gold dragon her ancestors had some contact with.

This power translated into divination abilities on top of Ralei's innate magical powers. She studied at The Crystal River Academy when she was young, and when she graduated the school offered her a job as the teaching assistant to one of the divination teachers - a job that would go on to have her teach the class eventually when the previous teacher retired. She's been there ever since, happily instructing students and helping ensure those interested in such topics get the best education she can give them.
