Tau was born to the underground city of Thylian, and while by the time her parents had her The Collapse was over and the city was thriving from being fortified against the event. So many still saw it as a sheltered home just in case another travesty happened and decided to stay to help solidify their futures.
So Tau grew up amongst all the prosperity, and displayed plenty of magical talent along the way. Her family had enough to send her to The Crystal River Academy as soon as she was old enough, and so off she has gone to study magic and hopefully build skills for a better future for herself.
