Born among the scholars of Arcadis and The Star Dragons, Luca spent much of his childhood searching the archives for any information on the extraplanar he could get his hands on. The heavens, the hells, the feywild, the astral, and anything in between were all subjects of interest to him. Sometimes his family wouldn't see him for days on end, but in the vast library city that wasn't uncommon - and even if they were worried, a search for him would be nearly impossible amongst the labyrinth of books.

While Luca never thought of teaching, word of his experience spread over to The Crystal River Academy and the headmistress offered him a position as a teacher in extraplanar entities. In exchange she could give him access to the Academy's library and resources to actually travel to the planes he had spent so much time studying and getting first hand experience in a safe way. It was too good to resist, so Luca took the offer and took off.

Now during the school year he teaches, and during the summers he travels the planes to gather information. It's given him insight that few others in the world have, and has made him one of the foremost experts on all things extraplanar.
