Most of the city is actually located underground, deep into the mountains on which it is built. Doing so allows for the housing of the great archives and all the scrolls, books, and other writings it contains in a space that is easy to control in order to best preserve whatever they are written on. Many who live in the city will never know its true extent, and even those who work within the archives often never see the whole of the archives in their lifetime.
