While not part of The Star Dragons, Hilda was born at their guild hall in Arcadis and raised amidst the vast halls of knowledge. From a young age she always had an interest in animals, and when she came of age her parents thought it was prudent to send her to The Crystal River Academy for a more structured education than what could be provided in Arcadis itself.

Hilda always had a love of animals that most attributed to her partial celestial nature, and this was only enhanced at the Academy as she continued to take animal husbandry classes and showed that she was better with the animals than the other students and even some of the teachers.

So when she graduated, Hilda wrote home and asked if she would be allowed to stay at the Academy for further instruction on the subject. Her parents agreed, as did the school, and soon enough Hilda found herself teaching others as well as taking additional instruction from the existing teachers. And soon enough the Headmistress offered her a job teaching, allowing her to have a stable future doing what she loved - something she takes very seriously, working with Aznil Dragonsong to make sure things go as smoothly as possible.
