Marianne's history is a mystery and she prefers it that way. Though it is recorded she was once a student at The Crystal River Academy and graduated with very good grades that's about the extent of her past that anyone can find out without serious digging.

Presently she resides in the abandoned islands in the south of Asnuale, rebuilding one of the old villages while she practices her arts. The island is great because it's self-contained in case something escapes, and because people believe it to be abandoned she is isolated and knows no one will chase her out for her experiments.
