If this group has a proper name few outside the order know it, and most simply know them as the Mage Hunters.

The Mage Hunters started with good intentions; track down those abusing magical power and stop them. No one was off limits, and they can even boast having stopped some of the most powerful liches to ever rise in Milara.

Unfortunately even the best intentions eventually become twisted. Even before The Collapse the Mage Hunters were turning to chasing down anyone with magic who was even slightly a threat, specifically targeting members of The Crystal River Academy and The Adventurer's Guild. Afterward they seem to have only ramped that up, partnering with The Order of the Blue Rose to help...
