Veral was actually one of those instrumental in helping Yiva dissent from The Crystal River Academy way back when. If he knows anything about if she's the same or not he keeps to himself, however, and prefers his status as one of the city's teachers for those willing to learn.

Some question his choices, especially as he is a member of The Starlight Squad as their Gemini representitive, but as long as he shows up when the Squad calls on him and he retains his powers they cannot dictate aspects of his life - something Veral uses to his advantage quite often.

Beyond that no one knows much about him, or about what he teaches or the type of magic he experiments with and the less others know the better.
