Dovrak was created by the Valyans as a clone of Eirene, the strongest Guardian in existence. However, Dovrak went berserk, freeing himself from his creators' control and rampaging across Eridya. When he attacked the Tree of Life, he found himself facing down an army of Guardians and humans led by Eirene, who ultimately sealed him away, placing him in a deep slumber.
500 years later, Dovrak was revived by the Duskwing Syndicates, with the rogue Guardians Uriah and Ashika at the lead. Aethon, Duman, and Sen joined them not long later, and Dovrak thus led his new forces in the Twilight War. However, despite having an army behind him this time, Dovrak and the Duskwing Syndicates were once again defeated. The former was once again sealed away, while the Duskwing Syndicates were scattered and the rogue Guardians imprisoned for their crimes. The setback only strengthened the Duskwing Syndicates' and Dovrak's bitterness, and they resolved to grow even stronger so that the next time they invaded, they would conquer Eridya once and for all.
