Born in the small village of Udane, Neyri, Rohan lost his parents to Ash Blight Syndrome when he was 5 years old, leaving him and his older twin sister Zahra to be raised by his aunt Bahar and uncle Soheil alongside his cousin Ervin, who was just a month younger than the twins. Despite this, Rohan had a happy childhood and shared a close bond with his family, though he was introverted and shy in comparison to his sister and cousin, opting to stick around them instead of making friends of his own. As such, the three share a particularly close bond with each other.

Inspired by the stories Soheil told of traveling the world as a merchant, Rohan wished to follow in his uncle's footsteps in hopes that it would encourage himself to come out of his shell. Though reluctant at first due to the dangers involved, Soheil eventually relented and agreed to take Rohan along on his trips. Indeed, thanks to this he gradually overcame his shyness and became more confident in himself.

As Rohan grew older Soheil taught him fighting and hunting in order to protect himself and his goods during travel. As such, Rohan learned the javelin and grew into an adept merchant, eventually taking over the business once Soheil retired due to a freak accident. Rohan continued to keep in touch with his family during his trips, exchanging letters detailing his travels like his uncle once did.
