Ervin was born as the only child of Bahar and Soheil in the small village of Udane, Neyri. When Ervin was 5 years old, his aunt and uncle adopted his twin cousins Rohan and Zahra, who were also the same age as him. The three children rapidly grew close, with Ervin treating his cousins as if they were his own siblings.

As they grew older, Ervin aspired to become a crafter and sculptor. He became known for his beautiful and intricate sculptures, which Rohan sold on his merchant trips along with Zahra's paintings.
