Born in the small village of Udane, Neyri, Zahra lost her parents to Ash Blight Syndrome when she was 5 years old, leaving her and her younger twin brother Rohan to be raised by her aunt Bahar and uncle Soheil alongside her cousin Ervin, who was also the same age as the twins. Despite this, Zahra had a happy childhood and shared a close bond with her family, particularly her brother and cousin.

Inspired by Soheil’s stories of his travels around Eridya, Zahra longed to become an artist, often practicing by drawing sketches of her village and the surrounding scenery before evolving to painting as she grew. She drew further inspiration from the letters Rohan sent of his travels, often exchanging her drawings with him in turn.

Over time Zahra earned renown for her stunning paintings, which Rohan sold on his merchant trips along with Ervin's sculptures.
