Born as the only daughter of the Swanthorn noble family, Lindra was given an excellent education as a child, being taught in noble mannerisms, practices, and Gaelenian politics, ensuring that she would follow in her parents' footsteps as head of her family's estate. In addition, Lindra was also taught the bow by her mother Olivia as was tradition among Gaelenian nobility.
When Lindra was 8, the Swanthorns adopted a 5-year-old Ameran girl named Shannon who accidentally got sent overseas after she was separated from her family. Lindra quickly grew close to her adoptive sister, treating her as if she were her own. When the girls were not training or attending classes, they frolicked around their large villa or explored the surrounding estate. The girls also took trips with their parents to nearby cities, particularly the city of Astiri, where many noble and political gatherings were held.
As she grew into her adult years, Lindra proved herself as a capable noble alongside her sister as well as an expert archer thanks to her family's training, catching the eye of nobles all around Gaelen and abroad.
