Ashika was created along with the other eighteen Guardians by Eirene, the first Guardian and the creator of Eridya. Under her guidance, Ashika created prairies as well as vulpines, small marsupials, and other small non-ungulate mammals, before making her home in the Jasper Fields. From there, she watched over the world with the other Guardians, and was worshipped by humans and animals alike as they collaborated to help Eridya flourish.
However, trouble arose when the people of Valya unveiled a creation meant to rival Eirene herself – an enormous black dragon named Dovrak. When they lost control of their creation, who began rampaging across Eridya and wounded the Tree of Life in the process, Ashika worked with the other Guardians and humans to drive back the threat in what became the Nightbringer War. Ashika was among many of the Guardians seeking retribution for Valya's actions, which ultimately came to pass as Valya was sunk under the sea and its Guardians sealed away, bringing the total number of Guardians down to sixteen.
500 years later, she convened along with the rest of the Guardians in a Grand Council after being alerted of a premonition of Dovrak being revived as well as the rise of a new faction named the Duskwing Syndicates. After quite some back and forth, they came to the consensus that they should seek out the aid of Champions in the dual hope that the Champions' presence would not only keep the Guardians together but also strengthen their defenses against the Duskwing Syndicates. They decided to search among young adults between 18-23 years old, as children would be unable to harness the Guardians' power.
However, in truth Ashika had been consorting with the Duskwing Syndicates and sought to side with them. Thus, Ashika sought out a Champion from the enemy faction, though she kept their allegiances a secret. Together they worked to revive Dovrak and spearheaded the Duskwing Syndicates' invasion that led to the Twilight War, standing alongside Uriah, Aethon, Duman, and Sen as Rogues. They openly attacked the other Guardians before turning their attention to the Tree of Life, prompting Eirene to send those who would become the Five Fallen to guard it.
Ashika caught wind of this, however, and trailed them to the Tree of Life, where she corrupted the Champions' bonds with their Guardians via her talisman and watched as they proceeded to attack the tree out of insanity before being felled by their Guardians. Uriah soon joined her and they confronted the Five Fallen, but were soon outmatched by the arrival of Eirene and Tezal, as well as the rest of the Guardians and their Champions.
Ultimately Ashika and her kin were defeated, and at the end of the war their Champions and the remaining Duskwing Syndicates were either killed by the Dawnwing Organizations or scattered. Meanwhile, the five Rogues were imprisoned by Eirene for their crimes, where they would remain so for nearly 500 years.
