Hem Lodir

Hem Lodir is located under the eastern mountains of Asnuale. With time to figure out how to make it work the vampires and other sentient undead that make up most of the population harnessed the floating jellyfish-like creatures that make their home in the overly large cavern far beneath the earth.

They have built entire cities on the back of these creatures, though each is still called Hem Lodir and considered to be part of the same overall location. In the early days the vampires especially employed the help of dwarves and other denizens of underground society to help with the building efforts, which in turn led to the traditionally dwarven-sounding name the place now holds.

In recent years most of the sentient undead make their home here, though the vampire courts still rule the city. But for the most part travelers and visitors are safe as long as they don't cause any trouble or draw the eye of the vampires - the creatures have to sustain themselves somehow, after all, and many will gladly keep a living creature as a sort of 'pet' they can feed off when they need to.
