The Ruby Court

The Ruby Court has always been the weakest of the three courts and the reason depends on who you ask. Some say that because they don't keep their bloodlines pure, others because there's nothing in the court to attract the strong or cunning among vampire kind.

So it was an utter surprise to everyone when the Ruby Court took power a few years ago, their Queen having made a deal to have her forces bolstered by an army of ghouls to take over. Such an army was not built to last, however, and they were only so many in number.

Eventually the Onyx Court took control once more, though they could do little to punish the Ruby Queen for what she had done since the power change was simply the nature of the courts. But perhaps the defeat was only the beginning, a lesson in planning as the Queen plans to regain power once more with other methods.
