Born to the small population of Ratfolk that lives in Hem Lodir, Mairi grew up inside the The Pearl Court and was always fascinated by their ways; while ratfolk are generally too small to be considered food for the vampires they often serve in other capacities but Mairi found herself wanting to be a vampire.

So she found herself a sire and turned, and then quickly proved herself savage enough to belong to the Pearl Court. From blackmail to physical violence, she seemed capable of it all so easily it was astonishing for someone so small. And she kept working until eventually she found herself leading the Court where she's sat for a very, very long time.

To Mairi, the key to success is knowing when to be polite and forge bonds, and when to be vicious. Under her rule very few have dared to mess with the Pearl Court, and while she's proven herself a more than capable leader many often wonder if there isn't more to her...
