Born as part of The Noctis Swords, Samson was raised amongst them and trained hard his entire life for one reason and one reason only; Lady Velana Druscilla von Krymzon had come through when he was an infant but he had such distinct memories of her that all he wanted was to become the greatest warrior ever and impress her.

He succeeded, in a way, as Velana came back when he was in his teens to conduct other business within the city. He planned carefully and approached her, kneeling in respect before telling her that she was just as he remembered and all he had wanted all his life was to become a warrior she would take into her court.

Velana was indeed impressed and spoke to Samson's parents, who said that if she would take him then it wasn't their place to crush his dream. So he packed, and when Velana left for Hem Lodir he went with her. He served for another few years before being turned, and for his part in helping Velana take over the courts she made Samson her right hand man. He might be young by mortal standards let alone vampire ones, but he's already strong enough that Velana is sure someday he might succeed where she's failed.
