"Agreed." Mycah nodded enthusiastically. They had not enjoyed their time on the run, even though it hadn't been for very long. They wanted to avoid that as much as possible.

Mycah turned the page, their heart jumping slightly at the title. "Winter, look." They held out the newspaper, pointing. The title read, Crin Marchesi dead, suspects still at large. The picture below was a blurred picture of Mycah and Winter as they were getting into the car.

"I really hope not." A noise from the front desk made them look up. A person was coming out of the back, though it didn't look like they'd noticed Winter and Mycah yet. "Company," Mycah muttered, nodding slightly towards the person. "We should probably continue this conversation somewhere else, just in case."

Winter nodded a little bit. "Right. Should we take the newspaper with us, then, or what?" he asked, raising his eyebrows up at Mycah.

"Hmm, yeah." Mycah quickly folded it up and stuffed it into their jacket. They turned and hurried towards the door.
"Is everything alright?" The person from the counter called after them.
"Oh, yeah. We were going to ask you a question but we figured it out. Thank you!" Mycah tossed over their shoulder, holding the door open for Winter.

Winter looked over, then followed Mycah out the door. He let out a slow breath, shaking his head a little bit as he considered the fact of the photo.

Mycah let the door slam shut with a sigh. Well, there was a picture of them. It was blurry, which was good, but it existed. Bad. They hurried away from the motel in the direction of the house.

"I really hope not, but they'll probably try eventually," Mycah sighed. This really wasn't good. If someone from town recognized them, what would happen? Another round of running, having to leave behind everything that they'd already gotten? Mycah didn't want to do that.

"It is," Mycah agreed, turning towards their door. Right as they'd actually gotten something okay, the people in charge of this country had to go ruin it… again.

Mycah pulled their new key out of their pocket and unlocked the door, holding it open for Winter before walking to the dining room table. They took the newspaper out of their jacket and threw it onto the table.

"What are we going to do?" Mycah asked, running a hand over their hair with a frustrated look on their face. "I think, for now, we're good. But if they sharpen the image, then we're screwed."

"Yeah, agreed." Mycah nodded slowly, their mind whirring. Disguises would probably have to come into play soon. They already had their weird eyes covered, but hair would have to come next. They'd probably have to cut it, at the least… still, short hair was better than being arrested.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter ran his fingers through his hair. "I should…locate some hair dye. Most men my age don't have such pale hair, and if they do, it's just grey strands, not…pure white."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Oh, yeah. I should probably cut mine," Mycah said, twirling a bit between their fingers. "I love trying-not-to-get-arrested makeovers. Anyway, when do you want to get the dye?" They asked.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Hmm." Mycah nodded. "Would you just use a knife to do that?" They asked. Using a knife would probably how they would cut their hair. It would really add to the "crazy person" look.

"Do we have one of those?" Mycah asked, frowning. They weren't sure if they did, but if they didn't, then they might as well kill two birds with one stone and get hair dye too while they were at the store.
