Winter looked over at them again, taking a deep breath as they left. "Feeling okay?" he asked Mycah, meaning both the magic and just…just in general.

Mycah glanced at Winter and nodded. "Yeah. Thanks." It was time to focus on other things. Like the weather and how glad they were that their amulet worked. Humming was great until you needed it in order to go outside.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Yeah. No problem." he replied, heading towards the house, the toolbox in one hand. Now, maybe, he could get the sink working better.

Mycah walked with Winter back towards the house. What would they do once they got back? Winter would probably be working on the sink, and they didn't really have anything else they wanted to do…

Mycah followed him, still thinking about what they could do. Maybe they could find a way to get some news so they could check on the status of the country after losing its new leader.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter let out a quiet breath as they got to the house, standing to the side so that Mycah could unlock the door. "We need to figure out a better way to lock and unlock this."

"Oh, right." Mycah nodded, frowning as they unlocked it. There was no way they were just going to leave it open all the time, and it would be a pain if Winter had to wait for them every time. "I'll try and think of a way," Mycah decided, holding the door open for Winter and heading into the house.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter nodded, going into the house and setting the toolbox down. "Yeah, alright. Thanks." He replied, running a hand through his hair.

Mycah sat down at the table to think. They really didn't want to go to a locksmith– they would probably ask too many questions. So, either they would learn how to do it themself, or use some magic. Magic would be easier and take less time, at least if they did it the right way.

"Alright." Mycah nodded and tapped their fingers on the table. The Arbre tree had worked for their disguise amulet, but would it work for a key? That might be pushing it, but… it couldn't hurt to try, could it?

"I'm going back into the forest," Mycah announced, standing up. This trip would probably take less time. At least, it would if they managed to remember where that tree was.

"I will," Mycah said, heading towards the back door. Maybe they could run to the tree, just to make the trip faster. Mycah hopped over the fence and walked into the woods.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter went back under the sink, still working on the pipes. Maybe he should have turned off the water first…but oh well. Too late now.

The forest was nice and relaxing, so Mycah opted not to run to the tree. Maybe they would run back, once they'd gotten their fill of nature-filled serenity.

Mycah eventually arrived at the tree. In the back of their mind, they wondered if Finlai would strike them down for taking a branch from her tree twice already.

After grabbing a long, straight twig, Mycah decided that Finlai probably didn't care. It wasn't like they were cutting down the tree, anyways. They turned and started back towards the house, their pace increasing until they were running back.

Mycah sped through the trees, the twig clutched in their hand. Their pace slowed as they came to the house, and they stopped to adjust their grip on the stick before climbing back over the fence and heading into the house.

Winter sighed quietly, and put the tools away, standing up to test the sink. The water flowed much better now, and he smiled a little bit.
