(Oh, I just saw your username… happy birthday!)
"Alright. I'll figure out something to do, then. Good luck with the shower," Mycah said, giving Winter an encouraging smile. Maybe they'd do something with the back yard.
(thanks!)
Winter nodded a little bit. "Thanks." He headed into the bathroom, taking the toolkit with him and hoping that it was something he could fix.
Mycah watched as Winter walked into the bathroom, then started out to the back yard. It was still quite tiny, and still very overgrown. They stared at it, a slight grimace on their face.
Winter got to work on the sink, grimacing a little bit.
Mycah stepped into the back yard, deciding to start by simply trimming any overgrown plants. Then, they would take out all the weeds.
Winter kept working, humming quietly as he tried to repair the pipes and get them in working order.
There were a few bushes set against the side of the house, all overgrown and wild. Mycah glanced around, then quickly used their tattoos to make some small clippers. They started trimming, trying to tame the first bush.
Winter kept working on the sink, still humming faintly as he worked.
Mycah finished with the first bush and moved onto the next one. Even though what they were doing wasn't as important as what Winter was doing, they still felt good about doing it. They probably wouldn't be able to do the front yard in case someone got too suspicious, but maybe eventually…
Winter continued working, muttering curses under his breath as he tried to get everything to cooperate.
Mycah finished with the bushes, stepping back a few steps to admire their handiwork. It wasn't the best, but it sure looked better than what they had looked like before.
Winter kept working, frowning a little bit. "Come on. Work, you little fuck."
They turned, the daunting job of ridding the place of weeds still ahead of them. Mycah took a deep breath, then knelt down in front of the first clump of weeds.
Winter kept muttering curses as he tried to get the pipes fixed, his eyes narrowed.
Gardening had always been Allx's thing, and although Mycah liked watching him, they never really enjoyed doing it themself. Still, it had to be done.
Winter continued to mutter curses under his breath as he worked on the shower. It sprayed at him a little bit.
Mycah finished weeding one half of the yard and stood, stretching a bit and glancing at the pile of weeds. The part that they'd been working on looked pretty good.
Winter let out a quiet breath, shaking his head as the water splashed into his face.
Mycah turned to the other side of the yard, which somehow looked worse than the first half had. They sighed and walked over to the nearest patch of weeds.
(not gonna be too active. I got in a fight with my siblings and we're all in trouble 🙄)
Winter sighed faintly, and stepped out of the shower, turning it on to watch the water flow, hoping it had worked.
(Ooh, that sucks. I wish you the best of luck with that! :)
Mycah stood up and moved to the next patch of weeds, their hands starting to complain about the prickly weeds. Still, they pushed on, not wanting to leave it half done.
(Thanks!)
Winter continued to work on the shower, humming to himself as he worked.
The rest of the weeds were pulled out and piled in the middle of the yard. Mycah's hands were sore, making them wish they had used gloves. Now all there was to do was trim the bushes on the other side of the door and put the weeds into the trash.
Winter continued working with the shower, eventually getting it to work the way it was supposed to. Then he got to work on the bathroom sink.
Before moving onto the bushes, however, Mycah sat down on the steps leading to the door. They wanted to let their hands rest a little. It wasn't like this was time-sensitive, anyway. If Winter needed their help, they could easily step away.
