"Hmm? Are there more crystals somewhere?" Cas asked, seeming excited at the prospect. "Will you take me there?"
"Hmm? Are there more crystals somewhere?" Cas asked, seeming excited at the prospect. "Will you take me there?"
Halm was surprised. Not by Cas hearing him, but how he interpreted it. Absolutely adorable.
"Yes, there are," Halm said. "But it was supposed to be a surprise…" He chuckled a little.
Cas grinned and took Halm's hand in his own tiny, hoodie sleeve covered one. "Let's go! Where is it?" He asked, humming happily to himself.
"It's right this way," Halm said. He led Cas even farther into the cave, leaving the lighter on for Cas's sake. It didn't matter, anyway. They entered a larger cavern, with a small lake in the middle. The entire thing was made out of the crystals, with a dull blue and white glow from within.
"Ooooh~" Cas looked around, quivering with excitement. He still still grinning and wanted to walk around the edge of the room to touch all the pretty crystals.
(Also Cas: I'm not a child >:0)
(XD)
Halm grinned at Cas's reaction.
"I'm glad you like it," he said happily. Halm himself seemed in sharp contrast with the room, with deep reds and blacks and ghostly pale skin. Still, this place near him feel good.
Cas trilled happily as he ran his small hands alone the crystals. "There's just so many of them." He was definitely glowing now, both from the crystals and his newfound bright attitude.
Halm nodded.
"They've just- grow here, really. Over the years. It's… Amazing." Halm smiled, sitting down cross legged and watching Cas. The human just looked so happy here.
Cas made his way all the way around the outskirts of the room, making sure he touched all the crystals he could reach. After he'd done that, he flopped beside the shining lake and ran his fingers through the water.
Halm watched Cas happily, glad he seemed so much… Better here. No bad memories to weigh him down. Not here. Not anymore. He made his way over to sit next to Cas, grinning.
"Enjoying yourself?" He said with a grin.
"Mhmm!" Cas examined his reflection curiously, noticing the reflected crystals behind him. He smiled and ran his fingers through the reflection.
The water rippled gently, itself shining softly.
"I'm glad," Halm said. He watched Cas closely. This was the happiest he had ever seen Cas. There had been so much pain and fear, this had to be better for Cas.
Cas stuck out his tongue a bit as he played with the water. He was laying on his stomach and was idly kicking his legs in the air a bit.
(Do you happen to have a face claim for Halm? 👀)
(I, in fact, do not yet, but I have been working on a drawing)
Halm smiled softly. Cas really was acting like a child, but it was cute.
(Ooo)
"How long can we stay?" Cas asked, flicking his fingers through the glittering surface of the pond.
"As long as you want," Halm said. He'd be able to deal with the memories later. He wanted to draw this out for Cas as much as he wanted.
Cas grinned, putting both hands in the water. "Are the crystals magical?" He asked curiously, watching the water ripple when he touched it.
"They have healing abilities." Halm smiled a little.
"It comes from the water, and seeps into the crystals."
"Ooh…" Cas stuck his tongue out a bit, enjoying the cool water. "I can't swim."
(Cas and Halm: cute lil bonding moments
Torin and Marcos: somebody's getting tortured)
(you'll get your cute lil bonding moments soon enough)
"Really?" Halm said. When he thought about Cas's upbringing, though, it wasn't as unbelievable.
"Well, how deep does the water look to you?"
(>:[)
(Cas is very cuddly)
"Uhh…" Cas examined the water for a few moments. "Probably deeper than I am tall."
"Would you believe me if I said it would barely come up to your shoulders?" Halm smiled.
