Nix nodded a bit and closed his eyes, relaxing in Derlik's arms. "I just wanna be able to be normal… as normal as I can be considering the circumstances, anyway."

"You'll get there, I'm sure of it," Derlik said, a small smile coming to his lips as Nix finally relaxed.

"Thanks…" Nix laughed weakly and relaxed a bit more. "We should probably start heading back, huh?"

"I think that would be good," Derlik agreed. The god moved to stand, hugging Nix close as he made his way out of the caves.

Nix buried his face in Derlik's shoulder again with a soft sigh. He honestly just wanted to fall asleep and not wake up for a while.

Derlik made his way through the caves back towards the house, keeping Nix close.
"They must be worried about you…"
