Hellooo! And sure, that's fine with me ^^
All right then! You or me start?
You can ^^
(Okay!)
Halm stood in the clearing of a forest, just letting the light hit him. Even if the God of the sun was a horrible man, the sun itself was still wonderful. He had his hands in his pockets and eyes closed, oblivious to anyone and everyone.
(i can vouch for Astral being an asshole hey it rhymes)
Cas was strolling through the forest, alone except for a few cats trailing after him. He glanced up and noticed a figure through the trees. A very tall figure. He hesitated for a few seconds before walking a bit closer so that he could actually see the figure. He froze when he saw him, his already pale features growing ghostly as he stared on.
Halm ran his fingers through his hair, letting out a sigh and opening his eyes. This was nice. He scratched at the base of his horns, just enjoying being in the human world for a bit longer. The breeze blew gently in the tall grass around him, and he gazed around the edge of the clearing lazily. He himself froze when he spotted the terrified, tiny human.
Cas swayed a bit, his eyes wide with terror and his face ghostly white. He wasn't sure whether or not he was hallucinating. Am I going crazy? There's no way this is real. The cats hissed and scattered and Cas, after a few more seconds of swaying, collapsed.
"Shit," Halm cursed. He hesitated a moment, then made his way towards the human. He knelt next to him, concerned. He took the boy's head in his hand, lifting it up a little.
Cas was thankfully still breathing fine, though his heart was racing. He stirred a bit, but remained unconscious for the time being. He was still very pale and tense, and a bit clammy as well.
Halm pursed his lips, lifting the human up. He leaned Cas against a tree, trying to figure out what to do. Of course, it didn't cross his mind to leave before the other woke up. He was more concerned with making sure the human would be all right.
Within a couple minutes, Cas started stirring again. He opened his eyes a bit and noticed Halm hovering above him. His eyes widened and he screamed, pressing himself up against the tree.
Halm was startled from his thinking by the scream, and he jumped be backward himself.
"Please, stop! I'm not going to hurt y-you…" Halm himself was pressed against the tree across from Cas.
Cas fell silent, his heart racing. He was still incredibly tense and had gone white again as he stared at Halm with eyes wide with terror. He was breathing rather quickly and he wasn't sure what to do.
"Please, I mean you no harm." Halm stayed away from Cas, making no move towards him.
"I was worried when I saw you collapse…"
Cas drew his knees up to his chest and hugged them tightly. "Who… w-who are you? Why are you here?"
"My name is Halm," the God explained. It was a an easy name to recognize, with the reputation it had. "I just came up to enjoy some time in this world."
Cas froze up again. "Y-You mean… Halm as in… the God?" He started swaying again where he sat, his lightheadedness swiftly returning.
"Y… Yes," Halm said slowly. "I am a god. But the stories aren't always to be believed." Halm looked at Cas with concern when he started swaying.
"Mmmm…" Cas closed his eyes and drew in a few wavering breaths, trying to keep himself from passing out again. "And… and why did you say you were here…?"
"I'm relaxing," Halm said slowly. "I've finally found a break in my work, so I came to this world. I… Enjoy the sunlight here." He continued watching Cas, no longer pressed against the tree. He sat on his knees, still keeping his distance.
One of the cats tentatively began pressing into the space. It eyed Halm warily and crawled over to Cas, who pulled it into his lap and hugged it tightly. "Your… your work with souls…?"
"Yes," Halm said. "My work with souls." Halm looked at the cat, watching it move over to Cas.
Cas buried his face in the cat's long, black fur and sighed. "I guess you assumed no one would see you?"
