Cas remained limp in Halm's arms, color slowly returning to his face. Cas's cat appeared at Halm's feet to hiss at Ethal.
Cas remained limp in Halm's arms, color slowly returning to his face. Cas's cat appeared at Halm's feet to hiss at Ethal.
Halm moved Cas to one arm, holding him close and away from Ethal.
"And you have no right to him."
"Only if you decide to keep him! If you don't, he's fair game again."
Cas stirred a little and whined, huddling close to Halm. He seemed mostly relaxed now, but still a little jittery.
Halm was happy Cas send more relaxed, but that want the most important thing right now.
"I haven't made my decision yet," he said slowly.
"Well, to on then! I'm waiting~" Halm hesitated, trying to think of a way out of this. What he needed was for can to walk to up. If anything were to happen, he would need Cas's permission.
Cas stirred again and soon opened his eyes. He froze when he noticed Halm was holding him and had to use every ounce of self control he had to not scream again.
Halm looked down to see Cas staring up at him, lips pressed together.
"I'm, waiting," Ethal complained. "Either take the boy for your own or hand it over."
"Hold on, what's going on?? I'm not an item, you know! You can't just own me!" Cas glared over at the newcomer.
"Actually, we can. A perk of being a god." Ethal leaned towards Cas, sneering a little.
"And the only reason you aren't mine yet is because this big idiot is stalling." Halm turned Cas away from Ethal, shielding him.
"Why the hell do you even want me?! I'm just some random guy! I don't have any special skills or anything! And I'm an American, dammit! I have rights!"
"You've got blood don't you?" Ethal grabbed Cas's chin, forcing him to look at her.
"Then you got something I want. And where your from doesn't matter to good darling, a human's a human no matter where you're from." Halm grabbed Ethan's wrist, trying to get get off of Cas.
"Don't touch me!" Cas growled, jerking his head out of Ethal's grasp. "Believe me, I'm far too malnourished to actually taste good or whatever. Piss off, weirdo."
Ethal let her hand slip to get side.
"Not until Halm chooses. So? You keeping him or not?" She turned to Halm, looking at him expectantly.
"Cause if not you might as well hand him over. I'm getting tired of all this stalling."
"I'll let you know," Halm snapped. He didn't want Cas to die, but it was obvious he didn't want any of this. It was putting to much strain on him.
"What if I just leave and pretend this never happened, hmm? Not be owned by anyone? Because I'd really rather not." Cas crossed his arms and huffed indignantly.
Ethal scowled, grabbing Cas's neck and trying to pull him away from Halm.
"Because you have no say in this," she spat. "You either go with him or die with me." Halm's grip slipped, but he tried to pull Cas away from the danger.
Cas glared at Ethal and started kicking at her while he clutched his throat. "Let go of me!" He choked and coughed a bit.
Ethal want faxed by Cas's kicking, tossing him to the ground.
"Choose Halm, before I just take it!" She yelled at him. She put her foot on Cas's chest, grinding him into the dirt. Halm watched, shoving what away from Cas.
"That's enough!" He yelled.
"Then is he your's?!" She screamed back.
"If it means you stopping this, yes!" At that moment, there was a fish if light and the image of two horns started to appear on Cas's wrist.
Cas was winded and dazed from being thrown, but he was still aware of what was going on. "What the hell does that even mean?!" He struggled a bit more, trying to push Ethal away to no avail. "And I'm not an 'it', dammit!"
Ethal took her foot off of Cas, huffing.
"Whatever," she mumbled, uninterested now. "If you grow bored of it let me know." With that, she left. Halm knelt down next to Cas.
"How are you doing?" He asked, concerned. How would he explain this?
Cas eyed Halm warily and curled up into a ball, hugging his chest tightly. "Care to explain what the hell is going on?" He asked, his voice still weak from having the wind knocked out of him.
"Well," Halm said slowly. "There's a lot to go over. What is your name?" Halm hasn't seemed too interested in finding out Cas's name before, but now it seemed very important to him.
"… My name is Cas. Well, Casper technically, but I don't go by that…" Cas forced himself to sit up and winced, running his fingers through his hair.
"Well, Cas," Halm said softly.
"I don't think you're going to like what I'm about to explain, but… It was either this or dying…"
Cas eyed Halm warily, his hand pausing in his hair. "What? What is it?" He asked hesitantly.
"Well… Look at your wrist." He pointed to the symbol there, trying to stall.
"You see, um… Well… T-that means that… Uh…"
Cas turned his attention to the mark, where his expression changed to one of confusion. He rubbed at it a few times, but it didn't come off. "What is this??"
