@Fraust
"Probably not." Cas pushed his hand into the water, humming softly to himself. "Besides, I'm wearing clothes and stuff."
"Probably not." Cas pushed his hand into the water, humming softly to himself. "Besides, I'm wearing clothes and stuff."
"Good thing I'm not asking you to get in," Halm said with a chuckle. "I've been in it before. It barely comes to my waist."
"Hmm…" Cas drew his hand away and examined the pool curiously. "Is it weird that I don't know how to swim?"
"Well, it makes sense that you don't," Halm said. "But… Just a little bit? A lot of people know how." Halm didn't want to lie to Cas.
Cas nodded a bit. "I think my dad was secretly hoping I would drown someday."
"I'm glad you didn't," Halm said. "You're an amazing person."
Cas smiled softly, looking up at Halm. "I'm glad you think so…"
Halm returned the smile, shifting a little.
"You really are. I should know."
"Hmm? Why's that?" Cas asked, confused.
"We're tied, because of the Claiming. It helps me understand just what kind of person you are. There's no details, of course, but just an overall feeling." Halm shrugged a little. To him it made sense.
"Oh… what kind of person do you think I am?" Cas asked curiously.
"A good one," Halm said. "You have your scars from the past, deep ones, but your still a good person."
Cas smiled weakly. "I'm glad I've done well with to be considered good."
Halm watched Cas, nodding a bit.
"Your really have."
"What have I really done, though?" Cas asked softly.
"I don't know," Halm said. "Like I said before, it's just a really accurate gut feeling. I don't know what you've done, only that you did it."
Cas nodded a bit. "I don't think I've really done anything remarkable…"
"Well, not a lot of people do. But even the smallest things could be the biggest for someone else." Halm smiled a little.
"I suppose so." Cas went over to Halm and huddled up against him, sighing softly.
Halm put his arm around Cas lightly, relaxed.
"Thank you," he said. "For not hating me."
"Mhmm…" Cas reached up his arms to be picked up, smiling softly.
Halm smiled a little, picking Cas up easily.
Cas wrapped his arms around Halm's neck, sighing contentedly. He definitely seemed to enjoy being held.
Halm smiled softly, wrapping his own arms around Cas. It was a good thing Halm enjoyed physical contact, because Cas seemed to want a lot of it.
(Yep yep)
Cas yawned a bit and huddled close for warmth, definitely enjoying being held securely. He was honestly so touch starved that he just wanted to be held almost constantly.
