As the northern part of Estana is close to the southern part of Asnuale that was the part to be hit hardest by The Collapse.

In its wake the country lost a unified government and now the individual city-states govern themselves. This also makes it one of the most volatile nations as each place is locked in a never ending cycle of pushing against their neighbors when they can and falling back to defend themselves otherwise, even if all seems calm on the surface.
