What little Corinne can remember is scattered; she knows she was born in Ravenspire, and that the tree that sits central to the town started to die. She and several others, their names lost to time, sacrificed themselves to merge with the tree and use their magic to keep it alive. The tree is important, if it dies so does all of what is now known as Estana and possibly more.

Time was lost, and then a group captured The Sky Kraken and tried to seal it into the tree. The outside world had forgotten Corinne and the sacrifices made, and the importance of the tree, and the evil began to spread and kill.

All the others sacrificed what was left of themselves to try and expel the creature, and Corinne would have been lost too but she had always been the most powerful of them all and managed to hold out until an outside force unleased the evil.

But the tree was still dying, so she sacrificed herself to the last and could only hope it would be enough.
