(That’s ok!)
Blue hummed softly and huggled her back, pressing another tiny kiss on her chin. It hooted as it got carried across the room, pulling up a small portion of the sheets for them.
Werry sighed and shook himself. Today was a lab day, and he couldn’t have her getting in his way. He was just about to complete a much better washer for his larger monsters, not to mention a more secure refrigerator. He brushed his teeth and combed his blond hair, then stepped out of the bathroom, towards his desk.
Sage laughed softly. "You're so sweet-" Her words faltered as all the air was stolen from her. She looked up to Werry as he stepped from the bathroom. She decided she would try again.
"Two minutes." She offered. "Just listen to me for two minutes and I promise I'll shut up."
Werry shook his head and Blue hooted loudly in her arms.
“I’m busy today,” Werry grumbled lowly, taking up an armful of blueprints. “I’ll be working all day.”
Sage stood up quickly. "Then one– Werry, Please!" She cried. "Just. One. Minute." She wiped her face. "You don't have to forgive me. I'll drop the whole thing – Hell, I'll leave if you want me to."
“Just drop it,” Werry grumbled lowly. “Leave if you want. But Blue wouldn’t be happy if you did,” He observed with an eyeroll.
Sage fell silent. She looked down to Blue and then back to Werry. She swallowed her Apologies before the could overflow with her tears. She'd take whatever she got at this point. "But do you want me to leave?"
Blue hooted softly in her arms and gently kissed at her cheeks, trying to make the streams of water go away.
“I don’t care. I’m not in control of you.”
Sage tried to make soften the blow of the words as she nodded. He didn't say he wanted you to leave. Besides, this was a time where Sage could make a choice for herself. Looking down at Blue, who covered her wet cheeks in soft kisses, she smiled. "I don't want to upset you, Blue." She answered. "Would you like me to stay?"
Blue hooted its support for her, littering her face in more kisses. Werry sighed at the tiny monster, shook his head and swung out of the lab with his blueprints.
((I love this… Sage is like: "DON'T HATE ME!" but Werry is like: …..crickets, but Blue is like, "I'll love you!"))
Sage sighed and let Blue's love fill her with a softer happiness. "Thank you so much, Blue." She smiled. "I think I'll stay…" She wiped her cheeks.
(I knooowoowoowowowowwwwwww!)
Blue hooted happily, clapping its tiny hands together. It kissed her cheeks more, purring.
Sage laughed. "Okay, okay…My heart has already melted for you, Blue." She hugged him tight. "Are you hungry?"
Blue hooted happily, its head poking up from the bit of sheet it pulled up. It kissed her cheeks, hooting louder at food.
"Then food it is…" She pulled the sheets away and stood. Carrying Blue to the door, she opened it and stepped out. Surprisingly, the darkness didn't frighten her as much, now that she knew what was in it.
Blue hooted happily as it was carried. It seemed to be much faster than its own mode of transportation. The halls were silent amd the darkness settled down on them comfortable.
She followed the path she'd remembered, her hand brushing against the wall as she went. Once she got to the kitchen she moved to the fridge, popped it open, grabbed some nuggets for Blue, and took it over to the counter. She perched herself on it and handed Blue a nugget.
Blue hooted and wiggled, but immediately gobbled up the nugget when she offered it. Blue squeaked and wiggled for another, its hoots loud in the air.
"Alright, alright…." she laughed, handing over another nugget. "Shhhh…." She held up a finger. "Werry is working, you don't want him to get upset with us."
Blue hooted softly and took the other nugget, gobbling it down excitedly. Somehow, Blue’s hoots did not attract more monsters.
Sage happily fed Blue, one nugget and then another. She then set it on the floor and handed it another nugget just in case it finished the one before too soon. Setting the box of nuggets down on the counter. She searched for another granola bar, or something else to eat.
Blue cooed and hopped on the ground when she turned her back on it. It had finished its nuggets already, hooting and plapping around the kitchen.
Sage laughed. "Call down, Blue." She said as she passed it another nugget. Sage finally found a granola bar. She took it and sat on the floor, placing the bar and the box on her lap.
Blue hooted happily and scooted into her lap, sitting down contentedly and chewing on another nugget. Despite the noise, no others came.
Sage opened her granola bar, smiling as she ate, Blue in her arms. "You just love all of this attention, hmm?"
Blue hooted up at her, kissing her cheeks excitedly. It seemed to be very happy about the attention. And extra nuggets.
