"You said, 'Most of these guys are cancer patients. The cancer’s gone but… they’re like this…' What is 'this'? What are they like now?" She asked.

“Like that.” Werry gestured to little Blue, who definitely wasn’t human anymore. “Like blobs of skin. But kind and thankful.”
Sage fell speechless. Her mouth hung open but nothing came out. She just shook her head, confused and slightly frightened. What had morphed them into such forms? And why was Blue so small if he was a cancer patient….
Homer… He was just like Homer, wasn't he?
(Bruh ok I have an idea
Hang on
What if Blue
Was Homer?)
(Oh.
My.
Goodness!!!
YES!!!
YES!))
(YAS is it okay if I continue RPing as Blue, though?)
((Yeah! Of course you can!))
(Neat. Alright let me)
((Love?))
(Ah shit. I forgot.)
((It's fine))
(Lol. So how do you wanna go about this?)
((Sage can talk to Werry about Homer, about how her brother had cancer and her mother sent him to the lab))
(Alrighty. Let me grab the latest and respond, then.)
Sage fell speechless. Her mouth hung open but nothing came out. She just shook her head, confused and slightly frightened. What had morphed them into such forms? And why was Blue so small if he was a cancer patient….
Homer… He was just like Homer, wasn't he?
Werry shifted on the chair, sighing. “Yeah. They’re all basically… cancer patients. But since they’re like this, I can’t release them back out to their families, even though the disease is gone because they look like this.”
"Cancer patients…" Sage echoed, looking down. "Do you remember their names? Do you remember a little boy named Homer? His eyes were green like mine. He was really small." She rambled quickly.
“Homer?” Werry repeated, raising his eyebrows. Blue sat up on the bed, hooting loudly.
Werry chuckled softly. “Indeed I do. Blue is the little boy named Homer S. Jensen.”
It felt as though the world had stopped, Sage's certainly came to a crashing halt. Her attention turned to Blue and she froze. Unmoving, unblinking even as tears streamed down her face. She thought she was going to faint, she couldn't breathe.
Homer? No, it-it can't be… Sage took a singular, shuddering inhale.
Werry was watching her carefully, his expression hidden. “Do you know Homer?” He asked carefully, not expecting an answer.
Blue hooted louder up at her, hopping off of the bed and closer to her, nudging her legs.
Sage managed a nod and jumped when Blue- Homer- Blue touched her. Her brain was a mess as she fumbled for the right words to say, but found she couldn't form any. Sobbing, she reached into be back pocket, pulled out her wallet, and found her ID. She passed it to Werry with quivering hands,
Blue hopped and hooted at her feet, jumping around cutely. Werry took the card with a faint “oh”, setting it down. The tiny monster on his shoulder hooted loudly, only once, as if miming Blue.
Sage sniffed and looked down to…. Just call him Blue.. She thought, wiping her cheeks. She scooped him into her arms, feeling a bit unsteady. "Blue…" She croaked.
Blue hooted softly and gently took her shirt in his hand. He leaned forward and pecked her cheeks in kisses.
Sage laughed through the tears, holding Blue tight. This was such a strange way to have her brother, but she was nontheless grateful.
Werry watched them with a faint sigh. “I’m sorry you have to look at him like that. It must be… terrible.”
