Werry arrived back in his room hours later. His hair was singed all around this time, and his labcoat was a light black color with all of the ash and explosions. The tiny monster was peeking out of his pockets, squeaking softly. He took the tiny thing out, setting it down on his bathroom sink and shedding his labcoat. Blue woke up and hooted softly at them.
Sage stirred in her sleep, her eyes cracking open. "Blue? You okay?" She asked the little monster. There was a burn smell in the air, but she didn't move at all to investigate.
The tinier monster’s squeaks grew louder and louder as it sat longer. Werry hummed at it and gently washed it off, which made it screech loudly.
Sage sat up once she heard the screeching, looking towards the bathroom. "Werry?" She croaked.
Werry pulled a face for the tiny monster, who waved its very very tiny hands at him. He smiled warmly and lifted it up.
“It’s alright, it’s alright. Shhh…”
Sage had never heard him use such a gentle tone in all the time she'd been here. It sounded as though he was talking to a baby who did not like water very much. It was…sweet.
The tiny monster snuggled into his coat, cooing softly, matching the pitch of the hum Werry was taking on. Werry walked from his restroom, still cradling the very tiny monster.
She remained silent, though she did find the source of the burt smell she'd picked up a few moments ago. Werry looked more burnt than he had before.
Werry sat in his chair with his back towards her, gently stroking the top of the humming monster’s head. He ignored her altogether, Blue hooting in her arms.
Sage sighed. She let her arms fall from around Blue, it probably wanted to be with it's owner as well. And with that, she laid back down. Talking to him made no difference, if fact it made things worse, especially since he didn't want to talk.
