"Oh." Sage sighed in relief, entering the room. She spotted Werry and smiled. "I fed them. The right way this time." She added, feeling a little proud of herself.
Werry chuckled and looked down at the happy little Greenie in the crook of her arm.
"You seemed to have made friends with Greenie," He observed with a soft hum following it. Greenie shifted and sung back.
"Yes. I believe I have." She echoed in joy as she looked down at Greenie. "They way she communicates, it's beautiful." Sage said, smiling when the tiny monster sung.
Werry smiled warmly and crossed the room to gently stroke Greenie's head, who sung out again in protest. She looked sleepy and somewhat fussy, like a real little girl.
"I know. Her voice is so wonderfully sweet."
"Aww…perhaps we should put her back in the bed. She still looks sleepy." She suggested to Werry with raised brows.
Werry gently took the tiny monster, cradling her close. "Yes, we should do that. Come on, I'll show you how to get there without light."
"Okay. I don't mind the darkness anymore, though." She didn't know why she said it, but she felt he should know. I'm not afraid now that I know what's in it…
"Still, I need to show you around." He beckoned her and led her out of the room, humming softly.
"Feel around the walls with your hands, and the floors with your feet."
Sage did as she was told, taking the hand that wasn't holding Blue's and feeling the wall. She walked much slower.
Her hand ran along it and she could feel thick grooves within the walls.
"Be careful to not drag your feet. You'll fall. I've cut little bumps into the floor, here, leading to my room and other places. If you feel these grooves suddenly stop, it's leading you to somewhere you shouldn't, or can't go."
"Why n-" Sage stopped herself mid-sentence. She realized her stupid question before it finished falling from her lips. There were obviously going to be places she couldn't go, and that was probably for the best. She let her fet travel the floor, felling the bumps. She cleared her throat. "Okay, I got it."
Werry nodded a little, looking around. "You'll eventually be able to make a little map of the place, imagining it, and you'll be able to memorize it."
"So-um, are you leading me to the room? With these grooves and bumps right now?" She asked, just to make sure.
"Yes, I am. The more triangle-pointed ones are my room." Soon the pair approached the slim-lighted room that was Werry's bedroom.
"Oh, I see." She smiled, noticing the different shapes and types of grooves and bumps. She paid more attention to the ones that made out the triangle shape.
Werry nodded, opening the door to his room. "Here we are. Go ahead in."
Sage went inside and smiled. "Welp, that wasn't hard." She let go of Blue's hand.
Blue hooted softly the moment it's hand was let go, grabbing hold of hers again. It smiled toothily up at her.
Werry nodded pointedly. "Yep! It's easy."
