Sage took a deep breath and sniffled. She pointed to the fridge. "You want some food?" She asked. She wasn't even sure if the small thing could understand her, but she s if it could anyway.
Sage took a deep breath and sniffled. She pointed to the fridge. "You want some food?" She asked. She wasn't even sure if the small thing could understand her, but she s if it could anyway.
The monster hopped in its spot excitedly, cooing happily. It seemed to readily understand, clapping its hands together.
She stood and moved to the fridge. She stood on her toes to look in behind the first monster. "Excuse me…" She said softly, reaching in to grabbed the nuggets she'd seen Werry feed the little one. She handed it one.
The other monster hummed a soft song and ducked down a little farther, reaching deeper.
The little monster plapped happily up and down on its spot, gobbling up the nugget.
((Why do I keep thinking McDonalds?? XD ))
Smiling, Sage handed over another one. She looked to the bigger monster. "Did you find what you were looking for?" She asked, keeping her voice soft.
(xD I keep thinking of those little dinosaur nuggets)
The tiny monster gobbled down the second, plapping around the room and hooting for more.
The larger monster hummed softly and pulled out a bag of what seemed like beef, and opened it with its large hands.
Sage shut the fridge behind the monster and laughed as she watched the tiny one. "Here." She said, giving it another. 'That's three, I'll give you two more."
The tiny monster immediately bumbled over, gobbling up the offered nugget. The bigger one moved off to the side, taking out the cooked, fresh-looking meat and started chewing on it.
Sage cooed. "You're so cute.." And in the back of her mind, guilt took over. She was so wrong about these creatures. She'd been so wrong about Werry.
The little monster hopped and hooted at her compliment, nudging her hands. It wanted more food.
Sage laughed once more. "Here…" she handed it another nuggets.
The little monster snatched up the nugget and hopped around. The larger monster hummed at the smaller, smiling human-like.
((I keep imagining a cute little blob with arms and legs hopping around going, "Hoot! Hoot!" I don't know why XD))
Sage giggled. "Last one." She told the little one. She held it in her fingers and crouched do to eye level with the monster.
(xD)
The little monster wiggled over and took the nugget excitedly, chewing it happily. Its eyes were jolting around everywhere.
She gave it's head a gentle pat before standing. She pocketed the granola bar she still had yet to eat and moved towards the doorway. "I guess… Werry will be back a little later to feed you all over again."
The monster bobbed after her, hooting. It wanted to go after the nice lady. Hoot hoot!
((XD))
Sage stopped and looked back to the monster. "Hey.." she smiled. "I don't know if you can follow me. Are you allowed in Werry's room?"
The little monster hooted at her, waving its tiny arms around as it followed her. It bumped into her legs, urging her forward.
"Okay, okay… I'm going." Sage laughed as she continued to head back towards Werry's bedroom. She listened to the monster plap behind her as she walked, stopping when his door came into sight.
The tiny monster hooted for her to continue, pushing on her legs. Hoot hoot hoot!
"If you say so…" She shrugged and opened the door. "You have to be quiet. Werry is asleep." She whispered to the little monster.
The monster quieted down to a couple of soft hoots. It hopped a couple times; plap plap
Sage giggled quietly as she stepped inside. "Werry? Are you awake?" She wanted to apologize again. But if he wasn't awake, she'd let him sleep, and besides, she'd rather keep her sorrys for when they were alone.
Werry didn’t respond, but he wasn’t snoring. The little monster plapped into the room, hooting loudly at him to wake up. Werry stirred, raising his head a little.
“Blue?” He asked softly, looking down at the monster.
"Blue? That's your name?" Sage piped, turning to the little monster. She patted it head. "That's really cute." Her eyes went to Werry next. He didn't look mad anymore.
