Pulling that out of the options, he set it aside. "Pick another, you still have these remaining three." Apollo hummed, glancing over the three remaining cards. Of course, this wasn't the best trick in the world, but it was all he knew.

@gracehustle

"Seven of spades, and then king of clubs," She decided, tapping the two cards, "Leaving the queen of spades as the final card." Davina looked up at Apollo again, a sparkle in her eye that showed she was curious as to what he was going to do now.

(Because I know this trick, I went ahead and picked ahead of time. Just so it felt more "authentic" I guess lol)

Pulling the two cards away, a slight smile rested on his lips. "Go ahead, read the paper." He nodded with a slight smile, picking up the Queen of Spades up tapping it on his knee while he waited. "I am positive I got my prediction right."

@gracehustle

(Ok lol :) )
Davina smiled and pulled the paper out to in front of them, purposely taking the time to slowly unfold it. "Your prediction was…" She started, unfolding the final piece and reading his guess, though she didn't say anything, just let her smile grow and looked up at him.

"The Queen of Spades, correct?" Apollo asked with a smirk of his own pulling up on his lips. The excitement that displayed on her face was too cute, and how he managed to stay cool was a mystery. "It's nothing fancy, just a trick my older brother taught me."

@gracehustle

"How did you do that?" She finally asked, a grin on her face as she looked over the paper for any other guesses that he could've written down. "That's really really cool, where did you learn how to do that?" Davina folded the paper back up and held it out to him, her head tipped to the side in curiosity.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Well, I learned it from my brother." Apollo shrugged, something choking him a bit at the mention of his brother. "If you want me to show you, I can." Gathering the cards after taking the paper, he started to shuffle them so they would be different when he pulled the cards out. "Only if you want to, of course."

@gracehustle

She nodded eagerly, "I would love if you taught me that trick." Learning any card or magic tricks was something she would happily do, even if she wasn't stuck in the hospital. "Where do we start? How do you decide which card to write down?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Alright, alright. So…" Apollo paused, shuffling the cards up before placing them the same as before. "Pick any card. Literally any card at all, whichever you like most. Write it down on the paper pad once you've picked."

@gracehustle

Davina took the paper, tapping the pen against it in thought until she decided on a card and wrote it down. The ace of hearts was the one she chose, mostly because it was the first one that popped into her head. "Step one done," She said, folding the paper so he couldn't see the card and smiling at him, "Now what?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Nodding softly, he scanned over the rows. "Let me know if you need me to explain better…" Apollo mumbled pointing to a row of cards. "So I'm going to pick this row. If your card is in this row, clean up the other two rows. If it's not, then pick up the row I'm pointing to." Apollo directed her, sitting back with a soft smile.

@gracehustle

"Oh, I get it now," She said once he finished explaining, laughing lightly, "That's clever." Davina swept up the other two piles of cards, seeing that her card was in the row he had pointed at. Now that she could see how this was supposed to work, it seemed a lot simpler, but still as cool and intriguing.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Mhmm. Just make sure to not do it too many times for one audience. Someone is bound to pick it up." Apollo chuckled a bit, glancing over the cards and pointing to the third one in the row. "How about this one?" He asked, tapping it a few times with a raised brow. "If I may be allowed to pick it, that is."

@gracehustle

She smiled and picked up his card, adding it to the pile, "You can pick any card you like." There were only a few card choices left, but she didn't show which one was her's in any way, just watched Apollo happily to see what he would choose next.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Mmm, you did pick up my words from earlier." Apollo hummed, smiling softly. She seemed so enthusiastic to learn the trick, it made him feel good she wanted to do something with him. "How about this one?" Apollo asked, pointing to one of the end cards.

@gracehustle

"Sure," She replied, swooping the card into the pile and drumming her fingers over the deck as she waited for his next choice. There were only a few cards left and he would soon pick hers, ending the trick. Davina knew he already knew the secret, but still, it was fun, knowing whatever card he would pick her writing would always match up.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Alright, I'll choose this one as my last card." Apollo told her, pointing to one of the final two cards with a bright smile. He was glad she was enjoying herself. This was the only trick he knew, but clearly she found it fascinating. 'I'll have to show her some other cool tricks I know… she's so cute when she's excited.'

@gracehustle

She grinned and picked the other card up, putting it into the deck before tapping the card he had chosen, "Perfect, now, take the paper I gave you and compare my guess to what the final card is. Was I right?" It wasn't as exciting knowing that her guess was right now that she knew the trick but it was still exciting. Maybe she could learn some more tricks from Apollo if he knew any.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Unfolding the paper, he smiled softly as he glanced between the paper and the card. "Yes ma'am. You got it exactly right." Apollo chirped as he set the paper down besides the card. "You figured it out pretty easy, nice job."

@gracehustle

Davina smiled happily, nodding as she looked between the card and the paper, "Thanks, and thank you for teaching me the trick." Learning the trick had been fun and let time fly by, something that didn't happen often when she had been stuck in a room alone. Being with Apollo was definitely something she was thankful for now.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Sure thing. I don't have any other ones right now, but if I think of some, I'll be sure to tell you." Apollo hummed, as he gathered up all of the cards to put away. As he did so, he realized how much he would want to show her. If they were out of this awful space, he would go take her to see some of his favorite places… but he couldn't. Not now, and maybe, not ever.

@gracehustle

She nodded, her smile not leaving her face as he put the cards away and she flopped over the space that he had just been. "I'll hold you to that," Davina replied, a bright grin on her face now that she was taking up most of the space and Apollo only had a little bit of room left to sit.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

(Apologies for keep making you wait. I'm just struggling lately, so I'm sorry.)

"Please do. I don't want to be lying to you." Apollo snickered, scooching over just a bit so he would be leaning against the frame of the bed. He didn't really mind that she was sprawled out across the bed. It didn't bother him in the slightest.

@gracehustle

(It's alright! Take care of yourself before you worry about responding to this! :D)
Her smile grew when he didn't ask her to move, but she did anyway, giving him enough room to sit more comfortably. Davina didn't move from laying down though, yawning as she relaxed on his bed, "It's only been how long..two days? I'm already bored again. They really need to give us games or something to play."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

(Hnnng, thank you. That goes for you too.)

When she moved, he smiled softly. But he didn't change his position. Apollo was plenty comfortable sitting where he was. "We could find our own game. Make one up, as we sit here. What much else can we do?" He mumbled, shrugging a bit. Though his smile never fell. He was plenty happy just sitting there with her. But clearly she wasn't enjoying it that much.
