"Sure thing," He chuckled softly, pulling back from her. "I'll leave you to it, if you want me to stay out of your way." Sitting on the edge of his bed, he watched her with a fondness he couldn't describe. It was odd, he didn't think this was a crush. Yet again, he had never had one before, so he wouldn't know. His head was spinning, heart beating faster, stomach fluttering. Maybe it was just the sugar kicking in, or maybe it was something else?
She smiled at him once she made it to her bed, sitting down happily and swinging her legs up so she was laying down. "Ugg I need a nap," She groaned, wrapping her arms around her stomach as it protested about the chocolate, "I don't think I can fall asleep though." Davina looked over at him and smiled lightly again, rolling onto her side so she was facing him so she could talk to him.
"Too much sugar, I presume?" Apollo asked her with a light smirk, stretching out so he was lying down as well. How had he not noticed how comfortable the bed really was? "I get what you mean though, I honestly feel awfully sick." Letting out a soft sigh, he nodded just a bit. While he was lying there, he decided not to eat so much the next time. Maybe they wouldn't get the same thing, so he wouldn't have to worry about it.
"Way too much, but it was so worth it," She mumbled, pulling her covers over herself up to until nothing more than her wild hair and head was showing. "The M&M curse, that's what I'm going to call this feeling from now on." She cracked a grin and looked over at him, her stomach settling just enough so she didn't think anything would come back up.
"We just have to not mention it to the doctors. It isn't a symptom, we just ate sugar." Apollo hummed softly, smiling at how cute she appeared. So childish, but the perfect amount for any human. They were after all, still young. Why should they grow up? "And hope they don't take our blood pressure…"
Davina nodded, studying Apollo's face as he talked. "They only took mine every week or so, I think we're safe," She said, a blush rising to her cheeks as she found herself wishing she could be laying on his bed, bothering Apollo by taking up too much room when he decided to take a nap, maybe being able to hold his hand again. "The doctors better come with food quick," She groaned, wrapping her arms around her stomach with a small smile, "Otherwise I'll probably end up napping through when they bring food"
"We could take turns napping, I can wake you up if food comes." Apollo offered with a bright smile. He hadn't noticed her starring, or her blush, as he was trying to keep one of his own from rising on his face. This proved to be a rather difficult task, for an odd reason. He didn't feel flustered, his face said otherwise. "We don't have to, it was just a thought."
"I like that idea, but you should get some sleep first I think," Davina said, a bright smile coming from her to match his. She wanted to nap, but maybe it was better if he napped first, that way there was less of a chance that he would have to wake her up if she got caught in a nightmare. The flush on her cheeks was slowly fading away as she tried to focus on anything but him. The doctors would probably interpret the flushed cheeks as a symptom of their illness seeing as both of their faces were flushed.
Apollo shook his head, propping himself up better on the bed. "Nope, you need to sleep more. I'm not incredibly tired, so I'll be fine. You should put your mask back on though, in case they do come by." He hummed, grabbing his own, and pulled it on. "Rather safe than sorry. Though I feel it's really dumb, considering we're locked in here."
She groaned like a child being told what to do, though slowly grabbed her own mask and put it on. "It's more than really dumb," She agreed, letting out a yawn. "Please wake me up when food gets here at least." She smiled at him under her mask and tucked her blankets around herself more before closing her eyes. Sleeping for a little bit was something she needed, seeing as she didn't sleep that much the night before.
“Sure thing. Does my highness have any other requests of me? Or am I allowed to fiddle with puzzles until food gets here?” He asked in a teasing tone, stretching out before pushing up off of his bed. “And do you want me to wake you at a certain point, even when there isn’t food?”
"Shhh, you're interrupting my beauty sleep," Davina mumbled, though cracked a grin under her mask and opened her eyes enough to look over at him, "You can mess with the puzzles, as for when to wake me up, do it whenever you want to get some sleep." She pulled her blankets over her head and mumbled one more thing at him, "Those are direct orders from your queen, Lord of the Hospital."
"I thought I was the vending machine master." He teased, sitting down on the floor and pulled a puzzle box closer to himself. "Night queen, sleep tight." Apollo mumbled now, his mind clicking into place as he built the puzzle slowly. Something as silly as that, caught his full attention rather quickly.
She only huffed loudly in response, poking her head out from under the blanket again with a smile. That was all she did though, rolling onto her side and falling asleep minutes later. It was odd, but she slept peacefully, no nightmares coming to haunt her.
(Time skip, until later?)
After awhile of puzzles, and being bored, one of the doctors came in with a tray of food. If he was smiling, Apollo wouldn't know. As he had a mask pulled up over his nose. Setting the silver tray on a nearby table, he nodded before walking right back out with not as much as a word. Once gone, he pushed up off the floor, and quickly scurried over to Davina. "Time to get up your highness."
"Noo, five more minutes," She mumbled, a hint of a smile flicking over Davina's face, "Is the food here?" For once she actually had slept good, she didn't want to leave the fuzz of sleep behind. She slowly reached up and tugged her mask down, yawning and opening her eyes as well.
Chuckling softly, he nodded with a smile. “Yeah, food is here.” He smiled weakly pressing his lips together tightly. “Come on, princess. You’ve been sleeping for over an hour.” Apollo told her, holding a hand out to her.
She seemed slightly more awake once food was mentioned, sitting up slowly. "You didn't want to take a nap?" Davina asked, slightly surprised that she had slept for that long. A happy smile washed over her face as she took his hand though, her eyes falling on the tray of food, "Did they say what it was at all?"
"Nah, I was fine. You looked more tired anyways." At least that's what he thought. Without knowing she had gotten little sleep the night before, he half figured it out by her exaggerated tiredness and her multiple times agreeing a nap sounded good. Yes, he was tired, but not as tired as she appeared. "And I have no clue what it is. I think it's just bread, water, and some broth."
"I think they're trying to starve us," She joked lightly, bracing herself to try standing again. Davina swung her legs off the side of the bed and stood up, only up for a moment before one of her knees buckled and she almost fell. "Stupid legs," She muttered, grabbing onto her mattress and getting to her feet. She didn't move until she was sure her legs could hold her weight though, then she made her way over to the tray.
"Yeah…" Apollo mumbled some, watching her with his brows furrowed inwards. "I could have brought food over to you… you clearly should be sitting down if your legs keep giving out on you." He told her softly, resting a tender hand on her shoulder. "I don't think you're incapable, I just think you're weaker because you're sick. I really don't mind trying to help you out."
"I appreciate the help and I don't mind having you help me, but the only way they're going to get stronger is if I use them," Davina said, looking over at him and making no move to move away from his hand on her shoulder. Even though Apollo was being serious, she couldn't help but joke just to try to keep things light, "Plus if I ended up following what you said, I wouldn't get up to do anything unless I had to."
The expression on his face relaxed, pulling up in to a tight little smile. "I guess that is true. Just don't push it too far, you'll end up hurting yourself if you push yourself." Apollo warned her, stepping back from holding on to her shoulder. "Let's eat, before someone comes and takes the food from us." He hummed, seeming to relax more and more as their previous conversation had ended.
