She shrugged, sighing but not dropping her own smile, "That can wait until tomorrow, so we have something to do then. I'm fine with just laying here right now." Laying on Apollo's bed was comfortable, and instead of playing a game, she figured that maybe she could get to know him a little better, or at least just talk about something random until she was tired enough to nap.
Quite relived she didn't mind just sitting there, he relaxed back into the bed. "Works by me. Do you wanna talk too? Or just sit here?" Apollo asked softly, happy to just sit and chat. It would be nice. Though he really wanted to curl up with her, and just fall asleep in her arms. Though that was a thing in his fantasies. It would hardly become a reality.
"Up to you, magic boy," Davina replied calmly, letting herself settle onto the bed enough that eventually, without talking for long enough, she would possibly fall asleep. As long as Apollo didn't kick her off onto her own bed when he wanted to sleep that was. More than likely that would happen though if she did end up getting drowsy, she doubted that he would want to snuggle up next to her and share a bed.
Apollo laughed lightly at the nickname, starring down at his feet with a fond smile. "That's never going to die down, is it?" He hummed, noting how tired he was feeling. Though she also seemed pretty tired. He wasn't wanting to have to kick her off. So he avoided showing it at all costs. "I'm happy to talk, or sit here. I don't really have an opinion."
"Not until I find a new nickname for you." She smiled and laughed lightly, tipping her head back and glancing at him, "We can talk, seeing as that's what we're already doing. I would love to get to know you better." Davina rolled onto her stomach as she talked, watching him with a happy look in her eyes. The longer they talked, the more time she could spend close to him, and she wanted to learn more about him especially if it meant she didn't have to go to sleep.
"What, Apollo not good enough for you?" He joked, clicking his tongue a bit. "Anyways, what do you wanna know? I suck at telling things about myself. I need more specific questions." Apollo insisted as he ran a hand through his hair. "Because I wouldn't even know where to start. I'd probably tell you too much."
"Hmm…tell me your favorites. Favorite color, number, season, anything like that," She asked first, propping her head upon her hand and watching him with her curious smile, "If you want to that is." Her eyes were full of curiosity and it was clear she was eager to learn more about the boy she was talking to.
"Favorites, huh? Well…" Apollo paused as he started to think about her questions. "My favorite color is probably green… like my eyes." He hummed, biting on his thumb while he thought. "My favorite number… if I had to pick, probably seven. It was my best year as a kid." He insisted, looking up at her with a light smile.
Davina listened happily, nodding at his answers and not bothering to answer them herself as she asked more, "Do you have a favorite animal? What about a favorite food? Desserts count as food." Having him learn about her didn't seem fun, and was at the bottom of her interests as she found herself studying his face. Not only was he interesting and fun, but he was also extremely cute with his green eyes and bright smile.
"Favorite animal, would probably be… maybe deer. There were lots of them by my house." Apollo hummed, remembering when he was little, getting so excited every time he saw the little frail creatures. "My aunt use to call me a doe, when I was little too…" He added in with a soft tone, trying to pick a favorite food. "Anyways, I really like anything Italian. That's always been my favorite type of food."
"Italian food is really good," She agreed, smiling brightly, "And deer are amazing animals, even I know that and I've only seen them a few times." No more questions popped into her mind about things to ask and so she went silent, leaving it up to him whether he wanted to ask her anything or not.
Apollo smiled over to her while she talked, unable to stop a yawn from coming up. But if he didn't make a big deal out of it, he would be fine. "What about you? What are some of your favorite things?" He asked her, smiling once again after he wiped the tears away from his eyes after yawning. "I can give more specifics if you want."
Davina thought for a minute then chuckled softly, looking up at him, "Specifics would probably help, otherwise, I'll end up just talking about whatever of my favorites pop into my head." She shifted around on his bed, resting her head on the bed as she yawned as well.
"Well, what about animal, color, balloon animal, and favorite time of year… maybe why too." Apollo hummed, shrugging just a bit. Without kicking her, he stretched out a bit with a smile. "But that's optional."
"My favorite animal is probably owls, or hummingbirds…scratch that, just birds in general," She started, smiling and counting things off on her fingers as she answered, "Color is gold. Baloon animal has to be…giraffe. And finally for the favorite time of year… I love summer, because it has the prettiest sunsets and I can watch the stars without getting to cold." Her face dropped slightly as she quickly corrected herself, but her smile was back seconds later to hide it, "Correction, could watch the stars..can't really do that in this prison."
"Well, at least you have memories of doing it. You can just replay those in your head if you're ever missing them." Apollo told her with a soft smile. His brother had said he was too optimistic for his own good. Which was probably true, but in all honestly, he didn't care. "But those are all nice. I'm also quite fond of birds."
Davina shrugged, though kept a light smile, "I suppose I can do that, even if it's not the same. When I get out of here though, the first thing I'm doing is driving as far out into the country as I can and watching the stars all night long." Not being able to watch the stars was one thing she hated about being in the hospital, but maybe imagining them would help her forget about how much she missed it, at least for a little bit, "Birds are amazing, I love the variation in all the different breeds and types."
(Goodness, I apologize for not responding, once again. I was really struggling to come up with a response to this. I don't really know why.)
"I'd love to go with you, if you'd take me." Apollo hummed to her first comment, playing with his hair a bit as he ran his fingers through it. "But that's up to you… anyways, could you pick a favorite one?" He asked in a soft hum, with a raised brow.
(It's cool lol)
"Well, obviously you'll be coming with…if you wanted to," She agreed, already imagining the two of them driving through the countryside, parking somewhere gorgeous and watching both the sunset and the stars while eating all the treats they couldn't have in the hospital. Davina smiled brightly at the image, holding onto it until his next question snapped her back into reality. "I suppose I like hummingbirds a lot, they're probably tied for first if I'm being honest. What about you, magic boy?"
Apollo laughed lightly, trying to go through his mental list of birds. "I like owls. They're cool…" He hummed softly, resting his head back against the wall. When she said he could go too, he couldn't help but feel happy. His smile pulled up, and slowly he started to think about his name, and her nickname. "You know… it's funny. Apollo sounds like a very magician-esc name. And yet, I only know the one trick."
She thought for a minute, shrugging as her face flushed, "I can see that, but when I hear your name I mostly think of you as the Greek god Apollo." A soft smile settled onto her face as her blush deepened, "You two share many of the same qualities I think."
"Really?" Apollo asked in a little bit of surprise, glancing over at Davina with a raised brow. "I honestly forgot about him. Even though we share the same name. I was never great with Greek mythology." He admitted letting a soft smile pull up. "What's he like?"
"Well, he's smart and portrayed as really fun to be around, plus both you and him are cute, and of course have the same name," She rattled off, hoping he didn't fully hear her say that he was cute. The statement had slipped out and she could feel her face grow hotter, "That's the basics, but I can go into more detail if you want."
He had definitely noticed, as his face grew rosy. 'Cute? She thinks I'm cute?' Apollo asked himself, feel his heart start pounding as his smile grew. "I-I'm flattered." He hummed, giving her a sweet smile. "I didn't know you thought all of that, of me. It's nice to hear."
Davina smiled back, her cheeks bright red as she shrugged, not saying anything. She was sure anything else she would say would make her more embarrassed anyway, so instead, she just rolled onto her back and looked up at the ceiling, doing her best to take up only a small sliver of the bed.
