Jade shook her head. ”I don't know about your reasoning behind ”the because you're a villain” part but…” she looked up at him and smirked. ”What if you didn't go as Hex and used a different ”costume”?”
Jade shook her head. ”I don't know about your reasoning behind ”the because you're a villain” part but…” she looked up at him and smirked. ”What if you didn't go as Hex and used a different ”costume”?”
Killian shook his head. "Sometimes, to make people talk, you need to be a bit of a bully. I have…a reputation. Trust me. It'll be better if I do it, as Hex." He replied. Something dark flashed in his green eyes for a moment, then was gone again.
Jade tilted her head slightly at the look in his eyes before she sighed. “Killian, this man was… is a trained soldier; he’s not going to be bullied easily. He was probably trained to not give information under duress.” she reminded him. ”But… he might be even more likely to help a member of the local P.D. or CIA.” she suggested a little mischievously.
Killian shook his head slightly. "I'm not dressing up as a cop. CIA would be…interesting, but…" He shrugged. "I don't know. I think I could get the information as myself, too."
”I'm sure you could.” Jade agreed, nodding hesitantly. ”But what excuse could you give for Hex to ”randomly attack” someone? Because that's what people will see.” she explained in a calm voice though her eyes held a bit of worry. ”I know you have your own methods but I want to hear what he does during and after the questions.”
"See, that's the thing. I don't need an excuse, because I won't need to explain myself. If people see it as random…so what? I'm already a villain." He gave a crooked smile.
Jade looked down as her next words came out softly. ”I can't argue with that but…” she sighed placing her head in her hands, hiding a faint blush. ”I don't want you to get hurt.”
Killian shrugged. "I'll be fine." He replied. "Don't worry about me." He gave her a grin. "Besides, I can wear a wire or something, if you want me to."
Jade bit her lip hard, but not enough to draw blood, as she held back saying that she would worry anyway before looking at him. ”I really wish you would try my detective plan. It’s not really a wire. It’s more of a bug.” she explained with a sigh as she relented to his plan as she picked up what looked like a very small piece of metal. ”You just need to carry it in and I can see and hear everything. I can control it from here.”
"I don't want to do the detective plan." he replied a little sulkily. "And alright." he took the metal, looking at it curiously. "Is this the bug? It's tiny!" he grinned, setting it on his collar. "Wait…can it cling on or attach somehow?"
Jade rolled her eyes before smirking. “I know you don’t, you big baby. And don't worry about the bug. It's secured until I tell it otherwise.” she explained with a note of pride.
Killian chuckled, then nodded thoughtfully. "Alright." He replied. "So. When do I go?" He asked, rubbing his hands together eagerly.
Jade shrugged. ”I mean if you're that ready… I guess we can do this now. Here's the address and if you want to you can borrow the board.” she offered as she pulled the address up on the monitor.
Killian chuckled, and nodded. "Mm. I'll take the board." he studied the address, then grabbed the board, putting the bracelet back on. "So. If you have a question you want me to ask, how are you going to tell me?"
”Here.” Jade stood up and handed him what looked like an earplug for traveling. ”I don't think I need to tell you how to use it.” she smirked slightly, still nervous about this plan. ”Just be careful.”
He chuckled, putting it on, and nodding. "I'll be fine." he replied, turning the hover board on and getting on it. "Trust me." he zipped out of the room fast as a blink, the board moving quickly as he steered through the streets, headed towards the address she had given him.
Jade sighed and wondered if letting him do this counted as criminal activity on her part. She walked back to her desk and activated the earpiece and turned on the bug. ”Enjoying the ride?” she said into the microphone.
Laughter greeted her. "Uhm, duh." came Killian's laughing response. "I'll be there in a few minutes." he kept piloting the hover board through the streets, headed towards the apartment she had told him about.
”Ok. Try to keep the damage level low and don't get shot.” Jade instructed half-joking as she watched thru the camera on his shoulder.
"Fine." Killian replied. He murmured a few spells under his breath. "I should be pretty much impervious to bullets, though, so I should be fine."
Jade raised a brow at his comment. ”That’s news to me. Anyway, his apartment is on the fifth floor and in the middle of the hallway.” she pointed out as the building came into view.
"It's magic, Jade." Killian replied, then nodded. "Alright. No more talking, then. It's hard to intimidate someone while also talking to someone else."
Jade rolled her eyes and bit her tongue to keep from saying that ”magic” wasn't an explanation… And from making the pointless response of sticking out her tongue at him.
Killian got off the hoverboard, and hid it. Humming the "1812 overture" under his breath, he pulled on gloves, and climbed the building.
Jade actually had to temporarily turn off the mic to keep from distracting him as she laughed.
