"Sit down." Killian waved a hand, pinning the man down on his own couch with magic, and leaned over him. "Now, this can be easy, or hard. Depends on if you cooperate. Got it?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Okay, guess it's the hard way." Killian replied, not seeming fazed by the insult. "Okay. Now, do you know anything about an attack on a hero recently?"

Darren raised a brow slightly. ”Surprised you care about a ”hero” but no, I haven't heard about something like that. It would have been on the news.”

”Remember, I just got an official name.” Jade told him. ”The news has occasionally called me a ”Trinity look-alike”. You know, from the Matrix.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"The one the news calls the Trinity Look-alike. And it hasn't been on the news because of certain reasons. Now, I know a large deposit was recently made in your bank account, and that you're ex military. Good with a gun. Trinity look-alike was sniped. Therefore, you are a prime suspect." He leaned menacingly over Darren. "Now. Tell me what you know, or start losing things." There was only a cold, hard sincerity in his voice.

Darren rolled his eyes at the threat. ”Ok, first of all, those kinds of threats don't work on me. And second, why should I believe anything you say about an attack in the first place?” he managed a very small shrug. ”Besides, isn't she that hi-tech chick who’s always kicking your butt. Even if I did shoot the real one I didn't think you’d get so uptight about it. I wasn't expecting a thank you or anything but…”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian growled. "One, because I saw film of the attack. And if anyone gets to kill her, it's going to be me, not some lowlife thugs." He replied. "Now, did you shoot her, or not?"

Jade shuddered at the threat Hex made but tried to convince herself that he was only saying it to get Darren to talk.

”I ain't a thug and you couldn't have seen the attack.” Darren growled back. ”I shot something, yeah, sure. Don't really know who it was under the helmet, but I was nowhere near where the actual attack was. I was told it was just another villain trying to start up and I would be helpful in stopping that from happening.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

(gtg to bed. Good night!)

Killian growled again. "So, you shot someone. You were paid for it. But you weren't in the least bit curious as to who you were shooting? You didn't care?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”Why should I care about any of you super-powered freaks?” Darren snarled back. ”You all think you're so superior. That you're above everyone else and can do whatever you want!” he renewed his struggles to get free. ”Even the so-called ”heroes” think they can get away with anything!”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian narrowed his eyes. "Hm. If that's what you think." He replied with a shrug. "Heroes help people. It's people like me that you should be scared of."

Darren let out a harsh bark of a laugh. ”And how much damage do they cause in their wake? How many people do they not save? How many have DIED because of them?”

Jade jolted back in her seat as she listened to Darren’s rant, her eyes wide in shock.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(ok I lied. I'll still be on for a bit)

Killian wrinkled his nose. "That may be true, but they still have good intentions. They still save people. Maybe they can't save everyone, but they try. They do try."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”Since when are you an advocate for them?” Darren asked in disbelief.

”Hex, ask him who paid him.” Jade implored gently though her voice was tight as she tried not to let him know she was affected by Darren’s questions.
