Jade set down the cutters and quickly wrapped the wound. I’ll have to clean that later. ”Is that enough?” she asked as she mentally rehearsed an excuse for the cut if her roommate asked.

He nodded. "Mhm. Thanks." He stretched out a hand, putting a bloody finger on her shoulder, still mumbling spells under his breath.
Jade held still as he worked, not wanting to either distract him or interrupt the spell. She really didn't know much about this subject. Her expertise was technology. She was very curious about the subject now… and about him in general. Of course, she knew somethings because of all their encounters and what she let herself find when she uncovered his identity. But she wanted to know more about him as a person.
(any ideas/preferences for what he finds? If anything?)
Killian fell silent, eyes closed. He was receiving the information from the spell and was busy trying to differentiate between everything he was receiving.
(Not really… I do have an idea for who it was but feel free to shoot it down.)
(okay. What's the idea?)
(Another hero, maybe? Or at least, someone who has built up a reputation as a hero but is only pretending… I still need to come up with a name for him.)
(ooh that could be cool, yeah!)
(Yay! Glad you like it.)
(yup!)
Jade kept her breathing calm and even, deciding to let him be the first to break the quiet. Though her heart was racing in some anticipation and worry of what he might find.
Killian opened his eyes. "Huh." He blinked, looking at her carefully, thinking about what he had found.
”What is it?” Jade asked meeting his eyes. ”Did you find anything?” The suspense of not knowing was nearly unbearable.
He nodded slowly. "I…think so, yes." He replied, shrugging and frowning a little.
(Who's the guy?)
(I don't have a name for him yet… I'm terrible at hero names. If you have an idea for a name you can use it.)
”Please tell me.” Jade whispered. She needed to know who it was. She needed to stop him from doing this again, if that was his plan. What if it wasn't? What if she was the only target? But why would… One step at a time, Jade. One step at a time.
(okay lol)
"His alias is Harbringer." He replied slowly. "Wannabe hero, behaves more like a villain." He looked over at her.
Jade nodded, slowly. ”I’ve heard of him. A bit of a glory hound, thinks he's more charming than he really is.” she let out a shaky breath. ”I did meet him once. He tried to flirt with me right off the bat. It was very uncomfortable for me.”
Killian nodded. "Mm. I faced off against him once. Beat his ass to kingdom come." He replied, shaking his head a little.
Jade laughed lightly. ”I saw that fight on the news. I have never rooted for a hero to lose a fight that badly before.” she smiled. ”After you beat him I could have gone after you myself but I decided to let you have the getaway. That actually reminds me… I kinda promised myself I would do this somehow to thank you for that.”
He chuckled. "Oh, thanks. Do what.?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked at her. So…she would rather I won over another hero? Probably just because Harbringer is an asshole.
Jade bit her lip with a nervous smile and a light blush as she stood in front of him. She never really thought about how she would have done this before, with her helmet always in the way and the two of them never being alone. If the public saw this, they would go crazy. But now she finally had a chance and she couldn't tell if her heart was racing out of nerves or because she was about to do something stupid. She shook away those thoughts and placed her hands on his shoulders to hold him still. ”This.” Was all she told him before pressing her lips against his.
Killian's eyes went wide, and he froze, looking at her. His eyes were a bright green still, and his eyebrows knotted together with confusion. After a few seconds, he stepped back, looking at her. "I uhm…I don't think that's a good idea." He gave a breathy, nervous laugh.
Jade was still blushing as she also took a step back from the brief kiss. ”Y-yeah, y-you're probably right.” she nodded. ”But i-it was my decision and I wouldn't have let myself… just not do it… I guess.” she sighed. ”It was stupid of me to even say that I would do that in the first place.”
Killian nodded, a small smile tugging on the edge of his mouth. "… right. We should, uhm…get focused." He shook his head a little bit, raking a hand through his hair.
