Jade looked at the now manageable list and did her best to match the pictures to what little they had of the suspicious man from the traffic cams. ”Hopefully this matches one of those.”

Killian nodded. "Mhm." He sighed softly. "Is there anything else you needed me to do?" He asked, looking down at her with an eyebrow raised.
”Well, maybe not with this at the moment, but I have a… hypothetical question I would like to ask you.” Jade admitted as she spun the chair to face him.
Killian raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?" He asked, looking down at her inquisitively.
”Well…” she bit her lip. ”Let me start by asking: do you think that people can change or that everyone has a hidden dark side?” Jade asked nervously.
Killian tipped his head. "Hm. Both." he replied slowly. "I think…it depends on how bad someone is. How much of them is dark. My…" his eyes darted away, darkening a little. "My father could never have changed. But I've known others who did. It depends on the person, more than anything else. Why?"
”Well, I don't want to cast aspersions but…” Jade trailed off, leaning forward and looking at the floor, ”what about a person who has always seemed morally sound? A person who has been called an inspiration to many and an upstanding member of the community? Do you think someone like that could be… dangerous?” she asked, hoping he would understand her hidden meaning.
"If you're talking about yourself…" Killian trailed off, thinking. "I…don't know. If someone's morally sound, than typically they aren't a criminal. That's just…how the world is. Those of us with skewed morals are the criminals and bad guys, and people like you are the heroes. I…don't know how to adequately answer."
Jade chuckled and shook her head. ”It’s ok if you can't answer. That was a difficult question, but I didn't mean myself. I haven't been called either of those things yet.” she sighed, a little relieved as she sat back up. ”Thank you for what you did say. I was probably just being silly.”
Killian nodded slowly. "Alright." he replied, a little confused, but unsure what or who she meant. He sighed, raking a hand through his hair. "What does this have to do with the search?" he asked.
”Nothing, most likely.” she admitted turning back to the monitor. ”It was just an unfounded worry. I was probably very wrong in suspecting it.” she brushed aside the concern before the computer lit up with red letters.
//NO MATCH FOUND//
Killian nodded, then frowned slightly. "What was it trying to match?" He asked, glancing from her to the monitor. He raked a hand through his hair again.
Jade sighed in disappointment. ”Once you and I narrowed down the list, I had the computer try to match what few physical characteristics we have from the traffic cams to any of the criminals left.” she explained. ”I don't have enough processing power yet to go through everyone we started with. I even had the program account for lifts in his shoes or deliberately poor posture. It's not one of them.” she sighed and dropped her head against the desk.
"Oh." He replied, frowning. "I…don't know of any shapeshifters. Or anyone who…hm." he trailed off, thinking. A line had appeared between his brows as he thought, his eyes a dark, murky green.
”Personally neither do I and I don't have an issue with any that I’ve heard of.” Jade confirmed turning to look at him without lifting her head. ”Anyone who… What? I'm open to ideas.” The one I had earlier isn't really one I want to be a real possibility.
Killian shook his head. "I don't know of any who have abilities similar to mine. I can use my magic to change my looks and height, you know. I never have, but I could. But I don't know of anyone like me." he crossed his arms.
”Oh! I hadn't thought of that.” Jade sat up slowly. ”For some reason the only times I think about magic is in relation to you or pop culture.”
Killian nodded. "Ah. I don't believe my abilities are common, I've never heard of anyone else having them. But…" he closed his eyes, and cast a spell. Before her eyes, he shrank, his form and features changing. He opened his eyes, a grin spreading over his-no, her lips. "I can even change my gender." he said proudly, then tugged at his shirt. "Although now it's a little tight over my chest." he grimaced, and changed back into his normal looks.
Jade jumped slightly at the sudden change of appearance. ”Wow! The closest I can get is…” she smirked and tapped a few keys causing an image to flicker over her. The image was a slim yet athletic young male version of herself. ”I already have a voice changer for this.”
Killian laughed softly. "Thanks." he raised his eyebrows. "Impressive." he said, letting out a whistle, then winking at her.
She chuckled and turned off the hologram. ”It's just a little light show and sonic manipulation. Yours was really physical? That's much more impressive.” Jade smiled.
Killian nodded. "I haven't tested it, but I could probably get pregnant. Not that I want to find out." He laughed softly.
Jade burst out laughing at the thought. ”I can't imagine you would want to. It's hard enough sometimes during Mother Nature’s visit.” she admitted blushing brightly. ”I can't believe I just said that to you.”
Killian laughed softly, then raised his eyebrows high. "…ah." he replied slowly. "I'm…not sure i wanted to know that." He let out a soft laugh.
Jade was still a bit red-faced but managed an embarrassed smirk. ”Consider it payback for the over-explaining the ”family jewels” thing earlier.” she started giggling again. ”We can just forget all of that if you’d like.”
