Killian sighed. "But you don't need my help." he replied, looking at her. "I can't do any of the things you can do on computers." he wiggled his fingers at her, wrinkling his nose.
Killian sighed. "But you don't need my help." he replied, looking at her. "I can't do any of the things you can do on computers." he wiggled his fingers at her, wrinkling his nose.
Jade chuckled. ”Not many can. It's nothing to be embarrassed about. I just… I would like your input.” she spun the chair so she could face him. ”I don't know if you know the other villains the way I know the heroes but… You have a different way of thinking about these things that could be very helpful.” she explained.
Killian nodded, and came over. "I…know a few." he said slowly, and went over to her, looking at the computer screens. "What am I looking for?" he asked, leaning against the chair slightly as his eyes flicked over the computer monitors.
Jade smiled and pulled a stool for him to sit on beside her. ”I'm not completely sure what we're looking for yet but this monitor has some profiles for people, mostly with records, I’ll admit,” she pointed to the one on the right, ”and the one in the center is the traffic cams in the area where I was shot at.”
Killian nodded, and ignored the stool, still leaning on the back of her chair. "Hm." He replied. "Do you recognize any of them?" He asked, glancing down at her for a moment, then back at the screens.
Jade shook her head. ”I didn't get a good look at the attacker's face. But there are some villains that have been in the local area and other criminals.” she swallowed a bit nervously. ”Now I don't want to accuse anyone yet, but I included some people with a military background, including snipers. I… I don't know how far the shot may have come from.”
Killian nodded, eyes still flickering over the screens. "Hmm. Not those three." he pointed. "They don't do this sort of stuff. They're more of petty thieves, that sort of thing." his gaze wandered around the screens still as he turned over information in his head.
Jade nodded and removed the three Hex pointed out from the list. ”Yeah, I remember catching them a couple of times and they're not exactly team players either.” she agreed, glancing at the traffic monitor and typed in a time a few hours before she recalled being shot. They would need time to set up.
He kept scanning the names. "Hmm. Have you fought or caused the arrest of anyone from the Grey Skulls gang recently?" He asked, glancing at her. "They wouldn't touch you otherwise."
Jade thought for a moment before shaking her head. ”No, I haven't fought them recently and I doubt that they would know if I was the cause of an arrest.” she replied before removing most of the names affiliated with that gang. She did leave a few she had suspected of going rogue.
"Okay." He replied, frowning a little. "Not Garrick, he's more of a…upclose and personal sort of guy. Not a sniper. He uses knives." He gestured to a picture. "And not Lenning, either. Just not his sort of thing."
Jade nodded and removed their names as well. ”Do you know if any of these people would team up with each other?” she asked. ”Unless a speedster used a gun, I'm not sure it was one man or even a shapeshifter posing as a man.”
Killian frowned, studying the images carefully. "These eight would be willing to team up." He replied, pointing.
Jade tapped a few keys, sorting those eight into their own group, before turning to the main monitor watching for any familiar faces.
Killian sighed. "Those two would work for anyone, so long as they got paid." he pointed to two more.
Jade blinked in brief surprise. ”I hadn't considered a paid hit.” she typed in a few notes about that under the list. ”But then that seems like there wouldn't be any other target or very few.”
Killian nodded. "Yes." he shrugged slightly. "But you wanted any possibilities." he replied, looking at her.
(gtg to bed now. Good night!)
(Goodnight!)
Jade nodded slowly. ”Yes. I did.” she said her voice trembling just a bit before she cleared her throat to hide it.
Killian glanced at her for a moment, then returned his attention to the screen. "Hmm…get rid of these four." He said, pointing.
Jade blinked and shook her head before removing the ones he pointed out when the middle monitor chimed. She turned her head look and gave a rueful smirk. ”Gotcha.” On the screen was a figure wearing a large oversized black hoodie covering their face and obviously avoiding the cameras. ”Well, there’s at least one, but I can't get any details. They may have dodged cameras before.”
Killian nodded, studying the figure. "Hm. Well, they're wearing normal shoes. Therefore their height is roughly six feet, which discounts Jameson, Carly, and Marco." He pointed.
”You got sharp eyes.” Jade complemented as she narrowed down the list. ”Normal gait, so that eliminates these two. Hard to tell with the hoodie but I remember they had a muscular build as well.” she pointed out.
Killian nodded. "Muscular…broad shoulders?" He asked, looking at her. "Anything else you can remember, body wise? Scars, tattoos, markings?"
Jade shook her head. ”No, they were wearing a black ski mask and long sleeves and long pants. I don't know if they were professionals but they knew to hide anything unique like that. But they did have broad shoulders, you're right on that.”
Killian nodded. "Mm. Not these four, then." By now, there were only about six men left. All tall, all broadshouldered.
