@Fraust
Cas drew his knees up to his chest and hugged them tightly. "But how come everything's always so shitty…?" He sighed and buried his face in his arms.
Cas drew his knees up to his chest and hugged them tightly. "But how come everything's always so shitty…?" He sighed and buried his face in his arms.
"Sometimes life is just like that. The best we can do is keep moving forward." Halm stayed right next Cas. He thought that it wouldn't be a good idea to put his arm around the other, remembering how he reached to physical contact before.
"I'm just so sick of it, y'know?" Cas asked in a muffled voice. "I work my ass off and I still can only barely improve my situation…"
"Any improvement is better than nothing," Halm noted. Besides, the position Cas found himself in now could be considered an improvement, depending on how bad his life had been before. And how well he handled just being around one person all the time.
Cas sighed softly. "Yeah, guess my shitty apartment is better than the streets… less cold and rainy, at least."
"And what do you think of this place?" Halm asked gently.
"It's freezing here, but I actually have food for once and I haven't been rained on yet." He sighed.
"Well, that's pretty much how it is the entire time." Halm sighed a little bit.
"We'll have to figure something out to help you deal with the cold full time."
Cas shrugged. "I dunno… I'm not too good at regulating my own body temperature. I both freeze and overheat easily."
"Do you think warmer clothes would help?" Halm knew he would have to come up with something else eventually, but for now this was a quick fix.
"Maybe? I dunno… I don't have anything super warm. Just like… hoodies and stuff."
"Well, we'll easily be able to get our hands on some warmer clothes for you then." Halm looked down at Cas, smiling at him gently.
"How so? I haven't really seen anything down here but your house and I haven't any money anyhow…"
"I'm a god, remember? I can get you some when we go back to the house." Halm smiled a little.
"Oh… okay." Cas hesitated before unfurling himself a bit. "Should… should we head in?"
"That might be a good idea," Halm said. He stood up, offering his hand to Cas.
Cas hesitated again, but took Halm's hand after a few seconds and allowed the God to pull him to his feet.
Halm helped Cas to stand up gently, careful not to hurt him still. That was mostly due to the fact he was a god and Cas was a human, making it too easy for Halm to accidentally hurt him.
"The two other gods have probably left the house," Halm noted, leading Cas back.
"Okay…" Cas allowed Halm to pull him along by the hand, trotting to keep up. "I set up my room… it… uh… didn't take too long."
(
i saw a chance and took it. Maybe we'll eventually get him to the point to where he can do something like this)
(maybe. Hopefully. But rn he'd probably break down in tears at any hint of shrinking lmao)
Halm looked back at Cas, nodding a little.
"Okay then," he said. He knew how much Cas had; he'd been the one to carry it all here after all. As they passed by the koi pond, the white and blue koi splashed at Cas.
"Kora," Halm berated.
(I know mwa ha ha)
(lmao what have you done this time, Swim)
(You'll see very soon)
(noooo)
