She looked around at the faces of her loved ones, at the looks they gave her. It was her fault he died. She drove home, put on a movie, and made herself a bowl of ice cream and saw the wretched bottle again. She screamed and threw it out the window then sat down crying, my fault, all my fault, she kept thinking. If only she hadn’t pranked him with the one thing he was extremely allergic to: Chocolate syrup.
