If I had the desire to read was a fast reader my tbr would be cut in half

Being a fast reader isn't all that great either.

But being the kid of an insanely fast reader is pretty awesome.
(My mom can go through at least five books in a day if she has all her time to herself. Which is several series a week,

She give me a trilogy to read,
And by the time I finish the first, she's gone through one series and is looking for or in the middle of another.

You would think it's cool but we are robbed of the ability to enjoy the book for long periods of time. Sure we can read it again but you can never recreate the magic of reading a good book for the first time.

Yeah. I get that. I wish I had more good examples. But the whole thing with Octavia's father leaving them after his PTSD from experiences in the Second Battle of Fallujah was interesting.
