I agree with Dom. They could have just left you on the side of the road, but they didn't.
They still provide for you even when you are being a lil shit.

Parents are worthy

THEY clap ARE clap YOUR clap PARENTS
IT IS THEIR JOB

Deleted user

Not really? They choose to do it. Like I said: side of the road, adoption, blah blah blah.

Oh lord, you need to give consent to be born now? T_T

Honestly

It was a reference : /
Haven't you heard about that? There's a dude who actually tried suing his parents for not asking consent to be born
I didn't mean it for myself, it was a joke

Honestly

Doncha know Eris? Consent is everything.

(sigh)

Exactly. They should not have had a child if they didn't want to care for it.

@Althalosian-is-the-father book

Well it is their job, as in it (in most cases) would be morally reprehensible for them not to take care of you. But they still should be respected. Army folks "just do their job" as well, and they (probably) deserve all the respect we give them.

Well sometimes you can’t decide… rape exists. Also ima not stay

@Moxie group

Actually . . . I'm with Miriam here
I don't think just because parents give you basic necessities they inherently earn your respect.
Or not that they earn your respect. More like giving you basic necessities shouldn't be the only reason you respect them. If they're shitty but they give you food and a roof over your head that doesn't mean you should respect them. Just because they haven't thrown you out on to the street doesn't make them good parents. Those are the basic things you need to live and the basic things parents sign up for when they have a child.
Doing the bare minimum doesn't earn respect.

Yes but they do a really dangerous job that they choose to do (for the most part)

I'd say it still does. They are keeping you alive and giving you education and such.

Very true. Doing only the basics makes them a bad parent.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't respect them. (Unless they're outright abusive maybe.) They still are doing all the work to raise a human being. That is hard. It deserves respect.

And parents do a very hard job that is also the most important.

I doubt any of your parents do the bare minimum though. An adult has to change their entire life view after having a child, deciding to care for it and give it a good life in the only way they know how is not an easy job either.

Not to mention for women, having a child is dangerous.

BUT I DO WANT TO SAY, DO NOT DO TOO MUCH RESEARCH AND 100% DO NOT WATCH THE VIDEOS WITH FOOTAGE IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH TO BLOOD AND GORE, OR IF YOU DISLIKE SEING PEOPLE DISTRAUGHT OR IN PAIN

What even is it?

basically people who are easily manipulated are accepted into some horror house that tortures them

people think it’s torture porn and there are cases of sexual harassment apart from the major injuries they get as well from the house

@Mojack group

It’s this survival horror house. You need to sign a 40 page waiver I think and have medical insurance.

Recently people have been taking notice of things happening and started to call them out. Apparently a few years ago they were good but now they’ve just taken a darker turn. I’m not sure though, I haven’t delved into it too much besides the fact on their website it says, quote on quote

New for 2018, MCKAMEY MANOR Presents "DESOLATION," including Holly's Playhouse. The next evolution in intertactive "SURVIVAL HORROR" theartre. Understand that each tour will be different based upon your personal fears, and can last up to 10 HOURS. Each guest will be mentally and physically challenged until you reach your personal breaking point.

Do not wear expensive clothing. Do not bring anything that cannot get wet. This can be an aggressive experience, and our actors will come in contact with you. You CANNOT in any way return the contact. If anyone becomes rowdy (pushing, shoving, running), they will immediately be removed - no questions asked. Anyone that has been drinking alcohol, or taking drugs will not be allowed into the haunt and will be asked to leave the property.

and that you need to be in great health to participate as well. I also saw someone write that they waterboard you, keep in mind not my writing just someone else’s.
