"The person who just yelled that there's a thief on the loose. With your hood and the fact that you aren't making eye contact, you aren't exactly the most innocent person." Rheyna replied.

Luke’s eyes lit up at the sight of a fellow thief, but by the looks of her she wasn’t too experienced. And she was a halfblood at that, leaving her disadvantaged in the court system. He doubted she knew the network of thieves that roamed around in each city, especially if she frequented the fort.

The elf sucked his bottom lip between his teeth, the urge to help a fellow thief was almost overwhelming. But he couldn’t exactly move to attack and sprint. Shace’s grip on his hand was too tight, almost a little painfully so. And he owed his life, and therefore his allegiance, to the werewolf. So he remained silent for the moment.

Valerie looked to the elf and his companion and gestured that maybe they should get out of there. She put her spell book in a slightly less aggressive position.

"The person who just yelled that there's a thief on the loose. With your hood and the fact that you aren't making eye contact, you aren't exactly the most innocent person." Rheyna replied.

"I would rather not die making eye contact." She muttered, still not making eye contact

@Bandito

"Look," Shace said finally, breathing quietly, "If you're so completely positive we've committed a crime, how about you just turn us in to your boss and we'll see what he thinks. I mean, if you have actual proof self-defense is a crime."

@PuffPoff

Rheyna perked up at that. "Wait, really?! Um…I mean…" She coughed, furrowing her eyebrows at them. "Good."

Luke’s eyes widened in alarm as he began to subtly, but quite frantically, tug his hand away from Shace to make a break for it. He was a wanted thief in most cities and wouldn’t be surprised if his name found his way onto a wanted poster around here.

@Bandito

Shace let go but gave Luke a I have a plan look. "So, where's your proof." She slid her hands in her pockets. "You know which law climbing out a window violates, right?"

Luke bit his lip, but decided to trust Shace, keeping at her side loyally. He hoped she knew what she was doing.

@ShadeStar

(Gosh darn it Shace)

Valerie gave the other a girl a look. She had just done all of this, what was she trying to accomplish?

@PuffPoff

"I may not know the exact law, but my commander sure does. Both of you are coming with me now." Rheyna stated, casually dismissing the fact that she had no idea the exact law was.

@ShadeStar

Valerie scowled and looked to the guard, "No one is going anywhere. with anyone. I'll let you take the thief, but not the pureblood and his friend."

@Bandito

"Law requires that the officer announce exactly which law an offender has violated." Shaciel lowered her voice, staying put. "If you don't even know the exact law, me and Luke don't have to come with you. If you arrest us anyway and bring us to your commander, you'll be the one arrested, not to mention lack of evidence."

@PuffPoff

Rheyna crossed her arms. "Fine. You two are under arrest for climbing out a window and jumping off a building, as well as running from and attacking an officer." She sighed. "Is that good enough for you?"

@Bandito

"No." Shaciel took a step forward. "That's not a law. Climbing out a window and jumping off a building is never illegal, even if there happens to be a guard nearby. Running from an officer is not illegal if the officer has no reason to pursue. If the officer has no reason to pursue, 'attacking' is considered self-defense and is not illegal either. Especially if you have no injuries or proof anything ever happened." She spread her arms. "So, after you've chased us and threatened us more than once, I'd like to ask you to stop. Now."

@PuffPoff

"No! I'm not stopping!" Rheyna growled. "I know that the pureblood boy did something wrong! He's a pureblood, how could be possibly be good."
