“Well, which do you prefer?” Calista asked at the information. She didn't want to seem rude if the slang Hawk in mentioned made him uncomfortable.
The guard sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he tried to calm down from his rant and the bounty hunter's taunting. “Look… I’m just doing this because it's my job and Calista Veran asked.” he explained. “How about this, I’ll just sit down right there and watch you until she gets back and you keep quiet before we do something we’ll both regret.” he suggested, pointing at a seat not too far away but enough to put some space between them.
Hawking shrugged.
"The slang isn't offensive to me. We have two planets. Kiffu and Kiffex. So whatever you like to call me is fine. Our people are generally okay with most things. Except for the empire. That was the primary reason I got away. As for the tattoos across my face, they were given to me as a symbol that I really didn't belong to anyone. A clan of the lost if you will. No true family related to me. In a way, we're branded as nameless. But that doesn't mean I can make my name my own. In a way, it's a new start where I don't have to live up to a name. One day, if I do make a name for myself, I'll add more to the face tattoo."
he walked to a farther seat to get away from him even more mumbling to himself "as long as you say there ill be fine…" he sat down and waited looking away from him deciding to watch a holo as he was bored
“Interesting.” Calista mused, finding it a bit sad that Hawkin had no one. Or perhaps it was a little too familiar… after all, she barely remembered her family anymore since she was so young when she first came to the Jedi temple. “Nameless… doesn't that… I mean that seems a bit harsh to me.” she corrected since Hawkin would likely think of it as normal because it was his home world.

“Thank you.” the guard nodded almost grateful for the tentative cease-fire between them as he took a seat but kept his eye on the other man.
he checked the time a few times waiting for calista but he was still watchful of the guard not knowing him but he kept his helmet pointed at the holo but kept watch on him as well "how long do you think she will be?..cause I know the both of us are rather excited to leave each others sights…"
“Wish I knew.” the guard shrugged, not denying the mutual point. “I heard her mention something about a supply room then she took some kid with her and he was carrying a droid. Probably needed a spare part.”
"great…" he sighed and decided to fall asleep but he was in a very light one so that if the guard even moved close to him he would wake or if calista walked towards him he would wake
“Interesting.” Calista mused, finding it a bit sad that Hawkin had no one. Hawking smiled at Calista.
“It can be sad and harsh. But I left my home planet and came to Coruscant. I’ve been here for five years now. For the immigration centers in the top city, I needed a last name. So I made mine up. So legally on Coruscant, my name is Hawkin Jaegerfly. Probably not the greatest name a ten year old could have created. Back home, I’m just Hawkin. Although, if I went back to my home world, I could make a name for myself now, because of my prowess with machines. But to get back, I need money. Which I don’t have a lot of. That’s why I wanted to sell the droid. But now having to fix it a second time, I think I’ve gotten attached to it…”
Calista smiled softly back, admiring his more positive outlook on the rough start to his situation, and nodded. "I see. Do you often get attached to what you fix or is this droid special because you have to fix it twice?" she asked, keeping the friendly conversation going though she did have a feeling that she should get back to the reception area soon. "Think you can find what you need in here?"
Hawkin tossed his head to the side, and looked into the storage room.
"Not normally no. I guess there's intrigue involved now. I usually fix some thing and send it off. But the hope of finding memories that aren't mine and putting more of myself into something that was once regarded as trash, makes it mean more to me know. I just don't know how to explain it."
He found a good power bank and smiled at it.
"This will do nicely. The droid will be in better shape than it ever was."
He looked at Calista.
"Do you think we should head back to the lobby? I can use the table in there to fix the droid. It won't take me long to get it functioning again. A busted power bank is one of the easier fixes. Plus you can talk to your friend, enemy, assassin or whatever you want to call him in there. I can't quite remember his name, but I think you said Jado."
jado had woken now watching the holo again would take off my helmet to sleep a little better but I don't know this guard and he is not a fellow mandolorian…even if he was I wouldn't trust him…its hard to find anyone to trust..besides…i work solo know I don't need a squad anymore…. images of his platoon went through his head and the sight of them killing the jedi went through his head a couple times
“Jado.” Calista nodded, confirming Hawkin had remembered correctly. “And yes, I think we should head back. I feel like he should be awake by now. Hopefully, we can talk normally without causing another… incident.” she agreed, though she wasn't sure what to call Jado either at this point. She didn't blame him for what happened but calling someone you just met recently a “friend”… Jedi were not allowed to have attachments but she wasn't sure if that included friends. But her Master had quite a few contacts who helped them hide.
Calista sighed and pushed those thoughts away for now and started walking back to the lobby.
he watched the hallways and talked to himself in a mumble "They were right I am a traitor…the order hadn't worked for me…why is that…i can't wait to search the Palpatine's office…to find out why all my brothers instantly listened to that order…"
(In the high republic, friends were encouraged and so were attachments, due to it being a time of renaissance. But during the "fall" of the Jedi, from 100bby to 19bby, it was discouraged, but Jedi friends were typically the only ones you had, and attachments (unless there were special circumstances) were really forbidden.)
(Thank you for clarifying that, Winter. I guess I put the wrong time frame back there…)

Hawkin followed her happily. He was trying to see best where the power bank could fit and where it could be as seamless as possible. He was excited. He always got like that with machines.
(You're good 😂 who knows? Calista might be 200 years old too!)
Calista couldn't help the small smile that came to her face as she felt Hawkin’s excitement. In an odd way it helped calm her from the anxiety she felt about Jado. Was he still unconscious? She couldn't tell… His armor had enough beskar to block her from sensing him. Was he back to normal? She didn't hear any weapons fire and she hadn't felt any more death through the Force. Which also helped calm her a little but she still walked a little faster to get back. She had a lot of questions.
(lol Calista is not 200 years old. Her Master could have had a longer life span than most humans but… Calista was still young during the attack on the temple and off-planet with only her Master at the time.)
he looked at his armor and took some of the armor on his arms off as he looked them over to check for any scorch marks from blaster fire
