he sighed and turned the com off going back to caring for his armor the best he could "I wonder…doesn't this still have the old clone command spot for fox and his lackeys…" he turned his com to tell them what he was doing "hey I'm gonna see if fox's old command place if still here so I can fix my armor up" he turned it off. putting his helmet off and when to do so

Hawking tried to calm himself.
"The fall of the Jedi? How could I even be seeing that? That was before I was ever born. Why am I seeing things that was before my time? As for the lightsaber, I'm certain. It was purple. I have never seen anything like it. As for the other man, his face is very clear. Piercing blue eyes, shoulder length brown hair, a blue lightsaber, dark brown and black robes, and a scar that crossed over his right eye."
Hawkin heard Jado's voice crackle over the com, and it drew his attention back.

“Memories live on through these Echoes. It doesn't matter when they took place or when they are seen.” Calista explained gently before letting out a sigh. “The Jedi with the purple saber was Master Mace Windu. He was a one-of-a-kind Jedi,” she told him if only to remember what she could about the Kel Dor council member. Her eyes widened as a memory of a tall man with brown hair, blue eyes, and dark robes came back to her. “Oh Force… that's… I think that man was Anakin. He was a… I think he was a Knight but I remember he was Master Kenobi’s padawan. Even through the war.” she murmured thoughtfully. “I remember he was always losing his lightsaber so he had to keep going with the younglings to Illum to get a new crystal.” she added, holding back a light laugh.

Hawkin cracked a smile.
"Memories are weird. I think I would have really liked to meet Mace Windu and this Kenobi guy. They seem nice. However, when you explain that Anakin fella like that, he doesn't seen so scary. But what do golden eyes mean? Did something happen to him? He certainly didn't look nice. And what's Illum? Will I go there? Since I'm Force sensitive now."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Calista nodded with a soft smile as well. “I only vaguely remember them but they were great Jedi.” she agreed. “I don't know what the golden eyes mean… but what I heard about Anakin was that he either died or was killed during the massacre at the Temple.” she admitted thoughtfully, wondering how Hawkin’s vision could have fit in with that. “Illum was a planet where Jedi Padawans went to get kyber crystals to make their lightsabers. It was both part of their training and a rite of passage.”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Calista closed her eyes at the thought but didn't argue. The fact that Anakin had bowed before the Emperor, a Sith, made it seem very likely that he had Fallen and would actually take part in killing the Jedi. “Why? Why would he…” she sighed. She understood that the Dark Side was persuasive and she remembered that Anakin spent almost as much time with Palpatine as he did with Master Kenobi…
“I don't know.” she admitted, glad for the change in topic. “There is a lot of training that a Padawan has to go through before they are ready to make a lightsaber. Not to mention that you would have to find someone who would be able to train you and those numbers are low.”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Calista blinked in surprise at the question, unexpecting such a request… even though she supposed it was obvious. Truthfully, how she didn't think of this possibility first when she discovered Hawkin's gift was beyond her at the moment. "After the massacre and death of so many who felt the Force, I never thought I would be able to take on a Padawan." she admitted softly before nodding with a small smile. "But I would be honored to teach you."

he grabbed one of the spare helmets from the command station and fixed his helmet up scoffing if any of the red material was on the repaired bits "I wish a 501st base was nearby…would much rather walk their then repair with foxes armor that disgusting trooper….he was the reason fives died…" he put his helmet back on and walked back to the lobby

Hawkin did a small dance of excitement.
“Yes! This sounds so cool!”
Hawkin looked out into the hall where he had set the droid, and the looked at Calista.
“Who knows, maybe I’ll hold answers about what happened to the Jedi. And maybe that droid, built in the era of peace and renaissnace, will hold information on how to rebuild an order, or at least improve one. Who knows?”
He then looked at the file cabinet, and brought out his slicer’s kit again and opened it.
“Now let’s get back to what we came here for. What needs to be sliced? We both know that right now, Jado is impatient and wanting answers, as we all are.”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Calista chuckled a little at Hawkin’s enthusiasm, secretly sharing in the joy of the idea. Even when she was young, she hadn't been sure if she would take a Padawan but she was glad to be wrong in this case. “Maybe you will find those answers. And I am just as eager to see what knowledge your droid holds.” she smiled.
She nodded as she moved away from the desk and files so he could work. “Yes, I’m sure he is.” she agreed as she held back another laugh. “Though I don't blame him for wanting to know what happened back then. He did suggest searching for any files that mention Clones… probably before they became public knowledge” she suggested.

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

Hawkin crossed his arms, and tapped the slicer kit against his elbow.
“Knowledge is a pretty cool thing to obtain. As for those files in the clones. What are the odds Palpatine put everything alphabetically? Maybe we check C for clones, or O for orders, or even S for Squads, or even J for Jedi. There’s got to be a method here.”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“I don't know if it would be that simple.” Calista admitted. “But I think I remember hearing that the Sith had their own alphabet… but I don't know it. And I don't even know if he would have used it on this. That might have been too obvious to use considering his long-term plan of forming the Empire.” she mused.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“You could,” Calista agreed cautiously. “But those memories seem to be random… or around a specific time.” she shrugged, silently admitting her lack of knowledge on this specific ability. “We don't know when he even planned to… bring clones into this… the war and everything else.” she sighed. “Maybe… maybe try touching the screen? Or the board? You might get the passcode or see where certain files are.”

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

Hawkin cracked his knuckles.
"All right. This is about to be a huge mistake, But I'm going to do it anyway."
He laid down on the floor, where could touch the board, the screen, the wall, and the file cabinet. He looked at Calista.
"This is about to be wild. I have no clue what's going to happen, so If I look like I'm actively dying, try and yank me out of any memory I may be in."
He closed his eyes, and starfished his body where he was touching all the items with his hands and feet. He breathed deeply, and was violently thrown into another memory.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Calista raised a brow as she watched her new Padawan lay on the floor, trying to understand what he was planning… Of course, just like out of a holodrama, she realized his intention and wasn't fast enough to stop him.
“I need to train him not to be so reckless.” she groaned as she sat beside Hawkin’s body and watched over him. As far as she knew, retrocognition was something only to be used on one object at a time.

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

Hawkin opened his eyes, and found that he could see the entire room, and unlike the other memories, the room was clear with no haze around the edges. In the memory, he was on the floor. He stood up and realized that his body was hazy. He looked at the windows at the back of the office, and saw the Emperor standing at them, looking towards the Coruscant skyline. Hawkin felt the hair raise on his arms. The Emperor turned and looked around the room, and sat down at his desk. He looked up, and seemingly spoke to the room.
"I know not who you are, but I feel your presence. I'm not as gifted as the other man you've seen, for he sees you and I don't. That is Anakin. You know who I am, but I don't know you. I can only assume you've been gifted with an ability that I do not possess that lets you see the memories of those in the room. Most impressive. I can feel that you harbor no hate towards me, just curiosity. Which is very good. I can sense you search for answers."
Hawking trembled, as the words of the emperor dripped with praise and malice at the same time. Palpatine laughed.
"Come now. Don't panic. I may not see you, but I do feel your emotions shift. There's no need to be afraid. I'm just a man. You seek answers for the future. You won't find them here. I don't know what side you are on, nor can I see the outcome of my future through you. However, if you're in my office, then I can assume that everything worked in my favor."
Hawkin still felt fear, but now his curiosity was growing. He saw Palpatine smile.
"Ah so the feelings of curiosity return. If it's answers you seek, they'll be on the planet of origin of what you want to know about. However they won't be easy to get too. Only a dark side user, or one who taps into it, can open the ways that I've sealed."
Hawkin heard him laugh, and he felt a cold chill race down his spine. Palpatine spoke softly, but it sounded as if it was scrubbing against metal.
"I could teach you, you know. You have power, and I could teach you to use it with your anger. Barriers have never stopped a Sith Lord before."
Hawkin stepped backwards, and tried to get out of the memory. Palpatine smiled cruelly.
"You'll be back."

Hawkin's body jerked violently next to Calista.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Calista obviously couldn't see what Hawkin was, but she felt the coldness of the atmosphere in the office wrapping around him. This didn't feel like the last couple times when he touched something. She placed her hand on his shoulder and concentrated on Hawkin's Force Signature, trying to strengthen it… trying to protect him from whatever darkness was reaching out to him.
"I'm here." Calista assured as she saw him come out of the Echo. "Just breathe." she reminded him, focusing on him first. He could tell her what he saw after he recovered. "Are you ok? Can you sit up?"

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

Hawkin sat up. And looked around, grateful to be back in reality. He looked at Calista.
"I know where to find our answers-"
He grimaced in pain as a splitting headache appeared.
"But, Palpatine thinks that he has won in the future because we're in his office. He told me where to get the answers we seek, saying that they were on the planet of origin of what we seek. So I can only assume that the answers about the clones is on Kamino. However there's bad news."
Hawkin blinked really had trying to get the headache to fade.
"The bad news is that Palpatine knows I can see memories, but can't see me. The key to getting the answers to what we seek, involves tapping into the dark side. And for more bad news, he offered to teach me how to use it, even while I was in a memory. He's so powerful that he can teach the dark side through a memory. I don't know what that's even supposed to mean, but I know it's not good."
He tried to stand up.
"Should we tell Jado the information that we found out? I don't know if he's going to be too happy about it. But it does mean we get to leave Coruscant now."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

"Easy." Calista soothed as he sat up, seeing him in clear pain. She listened carefully to his information and was shocked by the fact that the Emperor had talked to him, though she was relieved that he couldn't see him.
"Well… that's a lot." she nodded thoughtfully as she sat beside him and leaned against the desk. "I… I'm not surprised to learn we have to go to Kamino, that was the next part of Jado's plan if we couldn't find anything here. Now, I'm not saying that we didn't find anything… you found a lot here, but I don't want you touching anything else in here for now." she warned quickly before moving to help him stand. "I've never heard of anyone trying to get memories from more than one item at a time. And you're right. It's not good that he wants to teach you the Dark Side, even through a memory." she nodded, ready to get Hawkin out of here… as well as ready to be out of here herself.
"Yes, we'll tell Jado. He has a ship… hopefully the lightspeed is fixed so we can go, but I doubt he'll be angry about it. I'll just get him on the comm and we can tell him."

he sat at the lobby and sighed waiting for them to contact his comm or them to come back and he decided to fall asleep before they could as he was tired keeping his helmet on

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

Hawking waved his hand dismissively, and started towards the door.
"I can fix the hyperdrive if it's still busted. That's not an issue. I do feel that we need to get out of here. But I do have a question. Should we take his lightsaber? It could fall into the wrong hands."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Calista glanced at the box, understanding Hawkin’s reasoning for wanting to not leave it behind but she didn't like the idea of something so dark being near either of them. “Maybe we could find a safe place to store it so that doesn't happen.” she suggested as a compromise. “I'm almost tempted to hide it in the Temple but scavengers have been looking all over that place since the Empire.” she admitted as she took out her comm and called Jado.

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

Hawking shrugged.
“We could hide it. And as for Jado, we’re going to need a bigger ship. Or at least you and I do. An Arc fighter is a three seater Star fighter, but it only has cockpit room. No places to stretch your legs. So we’d need a small ship. Maybe a VCC-100 or something.”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

"You may have a point about the ship, especially when we include the droid and the length of the trip, but I'm fairly sure I can get us a larger ship." Calista mused as she carefully picked up the box with Palpatine's lightsaber and made sure the lid was closed. "Once we get ahold of Jado we can go over the details. Hopefully, he won't mind us needing a different ship." she shrugged before heading out of the office while her comm was still calling Jado.

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

Hawkin laughed.
"I don't think we'll need a bigger ship. A VCC-100 is perfect for a few people. I just don't feel great piloting an arc fighter. I do wonder how Jado flies it. It's a three seater ship, made for three separate pilots, work together in unison to fly the ship. it's crazy if he can fly it."
